    TWS 'Trades' window: separator lines

Thanks for your response. That function seems to only affect the main TWS page and the account page. Still looking for solution, but it's not a huge deal either way.

Interactive Brokers and Internet Service Providers

(Sorry for the late response - just saw your post.) With my style of trading I don't need to measure the speed of my connection in milliseconds. So whether or not I have the absolute fastest connection is not important to me. What is important is rock solid consistency, and on that criteria...

IB with DSL (AT&T) ... never had a problem. I think in my entire adult life I've never had the phones go out, whereas cable ... quite a different story.

http://individuals.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/fees/interest.php?ib_entity=llc Basically it's a tier-based system, and interest is paid on the account balance that is above the $10k level. It's tied to the benchmark Fed Funds rate, at various discounts based on account size, as...

    TWS 'Trades' window: separator lines

Anyone know how to get the lines on the trades page in build 833.3? IB doesn't seem to want to answer the chat line today, I guess with all the problems they're having. Thanks.

LEH - said screw you shorts

I have in my notes that March is typically the worst month in an election year, and that 80% of the time a 10% down quarter is followed by an up quarter. These are likely co-factors for the 04/01 lift across the board, LEH included. Good trading all.

Using System Restore to eliminate a virus - WinXP

I did end up backing up and re-installing the system, so I've been tweaking everything all day today so far. Next step is definitely making some kind of image or boot disk to store externally in case this happens again. Thanks again to everyone for your ideas.

Using System Restore to eliminate a virus - WinXP

update: I'm in the process of backing up about 27gb to the new HD right now. Should be done in about 1/2 hour. I'm seriously debating whether to give virus removal one more shot, because basically right now everything is set up to perfection and works flawlessly. And there is a solution...

Using System Restore to eliminate a virus - WinXP

Gotcha. Thanks. Not sure how easy this re-install is gonna be, but in any case I will need that external HD, so I'm off to Microcenter to pick that up now.

Using System Restore to eliminate a virus - WinXP

Thanks gnome. I seem to remember in the old days (Win98?) you could go back to a previous config from any date of your choosing. Had no luck finding a similar solution for XP after googling it, so my post here was sort of a last ditch effort at a restore solution.
