    Interactive Brokers - Please help!

I know they do 25's without a hitch. I'm sure you can do odder than that, but your satisfaction with the outcome may depend on the liquidity of the instrument.

Correction ... sorry, CL is NOT above the 200day. (I was looking at a slightly different MA). In fact the 200-day has been acting as resistance the past 4 days. Nevertheless, I am still bullish above 97.18. Visaria, hope your short hits target first.

    CL Redux

It's been seeming to me like somebody wants to keep it below 100 so as not to exert pressure on equities. But my first thought after hearing this news was it could be the catalyst for oil to finally break par again, especially now that it's above the 200-day. Above 97.18 is bullish imho.

    What is your edge ?

Maybe because it's "less risky"? Other than that, it may not be better ... if by "better" you mean more profitable. All depends on the statistics of strategy.

    CL Redux

I actually expected it to touch the underside of the hourly uptrend line around .30 or so, so I'm afraid that particular top eluded me. 97.18, eh? ... must be the July contract.

    ES Journal - 2012

I'm just a little surprised ... >100k contracts @11:15 and no continuation yet, an hour later. Normally with ECB news that kind of volume is a signal to back up the truck.

So far yes, with some confluence on the hourly. But I suppose anything can happen after the FOMC minutes at 2pm today.

Taking advantage of this low vol?

Looking back further than the last 2 years you can see that the VIX can and has remained below 15 for extended periods (>2yrs).

Speaking of TL breaks (see Handle's post), the hourly seems to be holding up.

Interesting. So do you generally scale out as well, or exit all at once, or does it vary? Great stuff - thanks.

My mistake - apologies, I shouldn't have spoken for you. Yeah it must've been Ray who mentioned the pivots. If it's those calculation-based ones, I'm with Handle - never touch 'em. :D And yes, I often check in @ the Bar and Grille and was aware of EMG's 13.75 intention today. I actually...
