A Day in the Life of a Consistently Profitable Trader

I think most of the traders who finally made it are the ones who don't regard money as a mean to a better lifestyle, but do regard it as a performance measurement. Those who are just into a better lifestyle will soon find something easier for them to achieve. Trading is the hardest means to...

A Day in the Life of a Consistently Profitable Trader

I think peoples trade or pursue any kind of entrepreneurial ventures are in hope of getting a better life. In the end, it is, in a monetary term, worth the sacrifice, but I still would like to know about the non-monetary things--say how being successful at trading now improve your life with...

A Day in the Life of a Consistently Profitable Trader

Yeah, is this the lifestyle you expected to be? You know, the reason why I am asking this is because I think I discovered the holy grail (after 7 years of nightmares and a few false "a-ha moments") and now, before I take this holy grail, I just wanted to know if this is worth(non-monetary...

I believe the answer is whichever country who is willing to go on a war for it. I believe so far, there is none due to lack of economical benefit from owning the moon.

How to keep your brain sharp

I understand what you mean. It's like a trend follower all of a sudden identified himself to be in a range. The best thing to do is resign. However, the way I see it is that resigning is just giving up. In Chess you could start fresh again in the next game, but in trading, you couldn't.

How to keep your brain sharp

I suppose Chess could helps develop patience and emotional stability--especially during losing game. When you are in a losing game, do you continue to play it with all your effort or do you just play it half-hearted?

Expensive Trading Set-Up = Profitable Trader?

Sorry for not making it more specific. The expensiveness that I was referring to is the type that is visible. A profitable trader is a trader who is consistently profitable through experience and through proper risk management. I totally agree with you that a trader should be prepared for...

Expensive Trading Set-Up = Profitable Trader?

I think a beginner would invest a lot of money invest into a trading set-up thinking that the more they put in, the more they would get out. The profitable traders would rather spend the money in something other than work--especially if there is no additional benefits. However, I am sure...

Expensive Trading Set-Up = Profitable Trader?

Wouldn't a Pentium 3 be a bit slow to handle all the charts, level 2, time and sales, and all other data?

Expensive Trading Set-Up = Profitable Trader?

Sometimes, I find that I would trade better when I keep things simple. Trading with just one monitor set-up helps me to avoid a lot of market traps. If I have like multiple monitors with multiple charts on them, I would definitely overtrade and cause some serious trading errors.
