I’d like to answer some questions.

Another question if you don't mind... what do you use to determine regime change, i.e. from mean reversion to momentum? Commonly cited in research papers are always the Markov, Garch or Hurst models but as always, the PhD folk get lost in their own navel gazing without articulating anything...

    Anything Can Happen™

Read your journal, fun reading. I would guess that your maths employs Fib extensions and retracements based on the levels I saw.

I’d like to answer some questions.

Not answering on behalf of OP, but I think one thing to consider - is that its not just stop losses that should be thought about when the market runs away from you, but also hedging or reversing a position.

Mmm, indeed. The naked eye will probably learn more anyway. I just want to accelerate my learning somehow.

Apols, my question about edge probably wasn't clear. I managed to read a few of your posts and can conclude what your answer would be now with regards to your preferences.. I trade std dev and the ladder. Relatively new to the ladder as prior to covid I wasn't home working and couldn't use it...

I’d like to answer some questions.

I have questions. 1) What’s the amount of leverage (contracts) you can realistically use before algos will actively hunt you? I’m well capitalised. Not far from giving up the day job and going full time. Below 10 contracts I can freely trade intraday. Whenever I’ve tried to trade 20+ I feel...

CEO of Nio is the Real Deal!

I’m also holding Nio, given it’s quite cheaply priced now it’s worth a hold until it’s ceiling is reached imo

CEO of Nio is the Real Deal!

Tesla cars are priced cheaper than Nio. Although Nio are forging deals with the Chinese government. Both are good investments but Nio will never challenge a global disrupting company such as Tesla.

TRADEKING007yahoo REVIEWS of Signal alerts, teachers, gurus

Not sure why you’re angry but all the best. Well, I don’t think it’s polite to call people morons. I see the unnecessary anger perpetuated in these forums and it makes me giggle. I like to fade the opinions of the uneducated.

Do you have evidence of the above claims or are they assumptions? He’s made some outlandish claims about making $14mm, I’d put money on that not being true. However, he’s posted tax returns showing $200k profit per annum which is reasonable given he’s opening 1 lot contracts. I don’t think he...

He trades off volatility and mean reversion, clearly knows how to buy/sell the lows/highs while scaling in. I do the same myself with a different strategy and have a good record doing so. I mostly use these forums to gauge herd opinions. So, there’s my reason on Brian. Look forward to you...

Why do you think he’s a terrible trader? He’s technically quite good. I’m assuming you don’t intend to directly hassle him and limit your opinions to this forum, as that would be bordering on evil given he’s dying. He also freely provides plenty of time and support to others. Good guy.

Picking up pennies in front of a steamroller: a short tale

Trading is actually quite easy if you can identify a trend, be patient and don’t over leverage. The problem is everyone thinks you need to trade every day.

You’re UK based? You can spreadbet tax free with IG. Alternatively, ICMarkets have the tightest spreads for CFDs.

Ah! Good luck, keep me posted if you find anything. I am UK based myself and struggle with Futures and Options brokers outside of IB.
