Geez.....you guys were prolific today. 35 pages to go through to get caught up from last night. More action on this thread than in the market today. :D Maybe you'd find it useful to set up a chat room here at ET for intraday calls and discussion. It's easy to do.

    Scalping_My Way with ACV

Dcraig - Very interesting chart indeed! I've never seen anyone chart the ratio of the contracts offered at highest bid and lowest ask to the full 5 level DOM (which is what I understand #4 to be). Do peaks above a certain level (say 70%) signify exhaustion in the move? These look like...

Which two main lines are you referring to? The Value Area High and Low? Thanks. Sandy

TQ - Went to chat, but you were gone. OK, I'll take you up on your offer to answer some questions: 1. Are you a price pattern/S/R trader (i.e. no indicators), like 4re? 2. If you use indicators, how many? How many is enough, and how many is too many - leading to analysis...

    Trading the Moon

yoohoo - So now that the full moon has passed, are you done with the lunar cycle until the next full moon comes, or are there further uses for lunar cycles? Thanks. Sandy

    Trading the Moon

yoohoo - Thanks for the interesting thread. Certainly something off the beaten track of TA. I never realized the correlation between reversals and lunar cycles....there's always something more to learn. If I may ask, what does the thick cyan line come from? Thanks. Sandy

So you want credit for all of today's moves? Sorry, no can do......this morning's reversal occurred at 10:45, not 10:30. :D

Today's low to high on the ES`Z was a nice Rule-of-10 move (9.75 pts. to be precise). Too bad I didn't notice it until about 2 pts after the high. :( Credit to Volente for highlighting the Rule-of-10 on this thread some time ago. Sandy

    S/R Emini Journal

This thread has flourished for nearly 700 pages by being positive and productive, without personal attacks. I've been with it since the begining and I've learned things from the majority of the contributors here (including Volente and Porgie), whether actual trades are posted or not. If...

Ah, so you're expecting a good rule of 10 trade this afternoon for your birthday present? :)

For scalpers, what technical indicators do you use?

Thanks....works fine now....must have just been a problem with the website last night.

    What moving average is this?

I studied those charts posted by ETLurker for some time. His described method seems very logical and straightforward (ableit lacking in some important details). That may not be a moving average at all, but instead a different type of function (regression analysis?) because it steps up and...

For scalpers, what technical indicators do you use?

What would be that URL? I tried www.scalptrader.com but just came up with a blank page.

Nice call. What happened to the picture of Trix? Even better, how 'bout a picture of you in a speedo? :D

If I could only trade 1 strategy, this is IT

TRO - Wow that's Amazing!! I'm not currently a TS customer, but was about to sign up. A trading friend of mine had shown me some of your contributions to the TS arena, and I was very impressed with your generosity in sharing your methods. Their loss is our gain. :) Sandy

Chris - What's that VB chart below the price candlestick chart? Is that something like cumulattive net volume conducted at bid (+) and ask (-) ? Thanks. Sandy

If I could only trade 1 strategy, this is IT

Anyone notice how the ES hugged the S2 level from 1:30 until 3:00 before going straight up 4+ points to close at S1? Oh, and the bounce after the 10 point drop this morning stalled right at that S1 level also. Again, it doesn't always work this well from one pivot level to another, but I...

    The Chronicles of Rennick

Well, I don't know what was deleted (other than a "steaming pile", which wasn't even yours Rennick), but if this thread dies, it will be a damn shame. It was one of my favorite on ET.

Ramaswami Rennick - Hope all this negativity doesn't put you in poor cheer before your afternoon call. Looking forward to some good humor as usual (with a decent market call as well :D ). Sandy

If I could only trade 1 strategy, this is IT

Pabst - You might try calculating the the pivot numbers using the Globex HLC, rather than the RTH HLC. With that method, the S1 level for today was 98.25. When it first hit this level, price immediately bounced 2 points up. The subsequent low of day was 97.25. There was a nice...
