If you don't mind, what are those horizontal, stair-stepping lines coming from?

Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

Thanks for starting this thread on S/R levels, and answering my prior question about how you manage your exits. I look forward to your discussion of what entry methods you use (indicatorless, I would assume). If you could post a sample chart of yours with your levels marked, it would be...

Indicators are liars! Support and Resistance Trading for the S&P emini

Those numbers are fine and dandy, but how to trade them is what's important. Are you going for 3 ticks or 200 ticks on a trade? What size stop are you using? Are you scaling-out, scaling-in, or all-out/all-in. Trade management is much more important than entry levels.

    Es Dom

Nice work with only 1 contract. Do you use a fixed bracket for exits? If so, what size of target and stop loss do you use? Thanks.

Trouble for Remote Traders who stream a lot of data.

Very nice....from your description (particularly the safety factor), I'd guess Singapore.

Which country are you in? Chile (looking at your ET handle)?

No, I use 3br for the entry trigger. The HA bars help me stay in a trade. Also, I look for a change in color before entry to help prevent early entries. Meaning, in an uptrend, I wait for the HA bars to turn red, before looking for a 3br entry (of course watching the pivot relationships to...

    The Four Horsemen

That's true that the bottom economic rungs consume more and invest less compared to the top rungs. So Obama's tax plan should be good for China's economy as more of their cheap goods are consumed in the U.S., since those who earn the least can't afford to buy anything made in the U.S. anymore...

Why are people so secretive here?

I agree with Mandelbrot's suggestions. The AHG thread will clearly dispell your notion that no one every shares anything of value on ET. It's a big one, but worth the effort. Few (and many have tried) have been able to decipher Jack's various ramblings. In contrast, many have learned...

OK, I must be the only dunce in the room who can't figure out what your point is here (even though I graduated with honors from the top university in the country). By your description (no crosses of the 9 & 18 MAs), today was a trend day, and therefore you don't want to take any trades...

I too found the HA colors are quite helpful. Is that HA code in NT from the AHG thread or someplace else? I have it for TS, but not for NT. Would like to have it for NT. Thanks for posting your chart. Nice trading day for you. :)

Volente - Just an observer here (reading your "discussion" with oldtrader) with a question on using the MAs as a filter. Are you saying NOT to take a r10 long when the fast MA is below the slow MA, and vice versa for short? It would seem to me that after a r10 move down (i.e. looking to...

Shakira - I appreciate you continuing to post your P&F charts. Just want to make sure I understand your entry technique. If you're looking to short off of resistance line, you wait until a column of red circles prints (indicating at least a 5 tick pullback from the recent high)? It...

    Urgent Message From Rennick

I think you should keep the tally of neutral calls in the results, but to make it mean anything, you need to define what a successful neutral call is. You can't play baseball if you don't know how to score a run (i.e. runner makes it home). Define objectively what a valid neutral call is...

    Price Action Journal V1.5

I've been a fan of P&F charts for some time (I personally use the .25 x 6 for the ES, and I used to use the .1 x 10 for the ER2 when I traded that instrument). I like how they cut out much of the noise of price action (since there's no time, tick or volume element on the chart). Would you...

Yes, I know. You asked what 10 ES points correlates to, and I replied that it correlates to 100 points in the Dow. Obviously, that wasn't the answer you were looking for. :D

S&P daily pivots and break-down & up Targets

Based on the two breakout levels today, both the short and the long stopped out, correct? Just checking to make sure I understand the method here.
