After some prodding by other ET members, I opened some calendars for a debit. I haven't been able to find any credit spreads or diagonals I like for SPX so I am now adding more tools to my options toolbox.

I wasn't able to trade this morning as an employee called in sick and I had to go do his job for him. A few trades today, up 1.2. I need to use a market order to get out, probably cost myself about .6-.8pts getting out.

I would say i got lucky today with all of the chop. I am kicking my self (remember hindsight is 20/20) for not taking the short trade at 3:00pm, I'd be up another 1.5-2pts. Oh well, I'm happy with my gain today.

Don't know yet, I'm still working on my trading discipline (take that to mean I'm not consistent on my entries/exits yet :)). My goal is 1-2pts per day on average so we will see how it goes.

Got it. I don't know if that is better or not, I've never considered it. Just saw a signal a little bit ago but I passed, lots of chop today and didn't want to blow my 1.2pts today.

I wish it was 12 points! I took 1.2 points today total on 3 trades. I was trading MACD crosses (not using 0 line, doing a test). I traded 10min time frames, got out quick and early with small profits, too choppy yesterday and today.

Was undisciplined yesterday and got killed. Did 3 trades today for small profits, up 120 ticks total on ER. Going to call it a day with this choppy action going on.
