My high school summer job: trading the NQ

That's a pretty good idea. Sure, I'll do as you advised and look for correlation between the 3. But don't they always move together like 95% of the time? About trend following, I don't like to do that, at least on paper I have had bad experience personally, even though it might have worked...

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Well, first of all I can't do that because I heard that forex is even MORE risky than index futures, lol, why would I ever want to do that with my limited capital? And also, I am becoming more and more familiar with the way the NQ works every day, why stop learning it now? I want to learn it...

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Oh and I adjusted my average profit target to 1.5 pts, but with my win % I think the win/loss ratio (1.5/2) won't matter.

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Hmm... that's really odd in my opinion. I would think that the index futures would actually attract the most scalpers out of any instrument due to the instant fills.... But I can't do stocks. Know why? The fucking PTD rule, last summer was so hard swing trading because once I made 3 mistakes...

    Stock_trad7r is now no more!!!

HAHAHAHAHA that was the funniest thing I've read all day, and quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever read on this board :D

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

So you're saying it is IMPOSSIBLE to scalp and be profitable with an account of my size? And no no no no no, when I said 30+ hours slip away, I meant 30+ hours (actually since im down about $320 in total make that 42) at my fucking minimum wage (7.50/hour) CVS job, where I (almost) had not...

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

OK seriously, this is what my system called for (im not making these #'s up, high and lows remember?) So, tomorrow, hopefully I will have a day like this.

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Like I said, it's not my strategy that's wrong, it's my fricken head that's messing with me. I think I will give it one more day, and maybe you will think I am a fool for doing so... I will post a chart of what I should have done (what my system called for) in a moment

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Guys this is this killing me here. Another down day, this time minus $140. The first two trades I have no idea why I did them seeing as 59 was the low, and like I said, my system only calls for lows/highs and s/r, in the first two trades I don't know why... I just forgot. After that in my third...

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

After two days of horrible losses I think I've learned something. I will go at it again, cool, calm and collect as I can. I will (try to) have the balls to pull the trigger, I won't be scared when I have a trade go against me, and I will definitely NOT get greedy or forget my rules when I...

    Youngtrader's Commodity Options Journal

Hey man, I wish you luck in your trading, even though I have no idea how the ag futures move or what fuels them to move. But as you know we're sitting in a similar boat age wise, so hopefully we can both make $ today.

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Hey, this is just an open ended question to everyone who's been kind enough to respond to my thread. When you guys first started or if you are just starting, did you have sweaty twitchy fingers when you switched to the live deal? I look at my hand and it's sweaty and twitching, and I came close...

Does trading run in your blood.

I think it does. I mean, look at me, I don't know if anyone has been following my short lived journal, but for the past two days I have lost $240 from my $2k account, but I still want to do it today because I find it exciting, while I'm sure other kids in my high school would quit the first day...

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Haha it really doesn't make me feel any better. Your loss isn't putting any money in my pocket now does it? And volente, I was just venting. I think I really do have my head as straight as I can make it, and, I'm feeling good about tomorrow. These two days have taught me how to control fear...

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Actually, when I started paper trading futures I initially did it with the YM. But then I took a look at the NQ, and, I don't know, maybe at the time I thought that it seemed less choppy, more directional, and just overall smoother, if you know what I mean. Maybe I should look at the YM again...

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Wow, I never thought about it that way... how interesting. I don't think you need to control you emotions at ALL times though, and you would have a lot of trouble doing that in bed with a hot chick you know

My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Well I have thought about it, if I don't make money tomorrow, then you know what? Just fuck it, why risk loosing even more of my hard earned minimum wage cash... and trust me I worked too many boring ass hours at the CVS to watch it all slip away. So, if tomorrow I can't make a net profit, I...
