Singapore GDP overtakes the entire Federation of Malaysia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore#Economy What absolute nonsense about Singapore welcoming money with shady sources. Do you even live or work here in Singapore?? The economy is driven by manufacturing and services, and financial services is one part of it. You made it sound like the...

    US Forex brokers account profitability

Nowadays with every forex brokers, you get 30 days free demo account and you can jump from one broker to the next broker trying out each firm (after complaining how bad the spreads are, lol). It would be really dumb to lose money learning forex, and that "95%-traders-fail" thesis also included...

How did forexmagnates site get those numbers and where is the official/regulatory site to view the rest of the brokers' reports? Is it interesting to see FXSOL losing clients quickly, while Oanda seems to have 3 times the number of active non-discretionary accounts (besides showing twice more...

    Gain Capital and market orders

Well, my broker falls under the category of dealing desk, counterparty, bucket shop, crook, since it is not ECN/direct-market-access type. But Gain Capital is known as the worst of this group so I am not surprised that they did not specify clearly in their account agreements. From first look...

While waiting for mickmak's response to you, I want to add that in my earlier screenshot of the account disclaimer, I did ask my broker and got an answer relating to dealing desk. Since Gain is similar to my broker and counterparty to your transactions, they should have included the same...

Have you given IAB a call? If this is the broker you are going to next, it's best to talk through all your queries with the rep, while at the same time researching on forums. But calling them is faster. Who is your broker? Forex.com or TradeStation.com? that clears through Gain Capital...

    Gain Capital and market orders

I believe it is written somewhere in the account agreement with your broker, that such orders as Market/Limit/Stop may not be honoured or filled during certain events. Do you see similar clauses in your contract? If it is and you signed it, then yes they have the right to refuse your Market Order.

    Trading FOREX vs Emini SP500

with forex, you can do some kind of prediction/expectation where prices will go. and due to the 24hrs duration prices have time to get there. with equities you have to deal with market open, lunch doldrums, reversal times, and market close. equities duration is a short 6.5hrs if you are...

    Trading FOREX vs Emini SP500

I trade both equities and forex. I found forex "easier" too as there are three sessions to find opportunities (Tokyo, London, NewYork) and a move can trend for hours giving better risk-to-reward. Also, a typical forex broker account is scalable so you can trade Standard, Mini, Micro lots and...

You mean brokers like FXCM are not "serious" businesses? Because they have introducing agents and participated in cashback affiliates? NFA's net capital requirement for forex dealer members is now $20million as of May 16, 2009. If these brokers are registered with CFTC and member of NFA, how...
