    dell 2005 vs 2007

Yeah, sorry about that. Apple calls it a "23-inch" display, but maybe it's actually 24. In any case, the standard resolution is 1920x1200. All flat panels sporting this resolution are the same size. More importantly, where on earth can you find a 2407 for $463 (you quoted $100 more than...

    dell 2005 vs 2007

Where did you buy the 2007 for $363? I'm in the market for a couple more 23" 'ers and would love that kind of discount RoughTrader

    dell 2005 vs 2007

Rather than the 1680x1050 model, I would suggest the larger, 23" model, which supports max resolution 1920x1200. I believe the model is 2305WFP. That little bit of extra screen real estate makes all the difference. RoughTrader

how many systems do you trade/need?

I trade 4 systems across 20+ markets, all automated. Most of my systems are working on daily bars (too much potential for execution error intraday across 20+ instruments), but I apply some intraday systems on a few currency pairs and the e-minis. Some suggest that trading many systems is good...

CME to offer spot forex trading in 07

What I don't understand is why the existing currency pairs traded as futures on globex don't see more volume. The tick value is higher, no spread (only commission). But it seems EC and BP are the only two pairs that see any decent volume. For many short-term strategies, the higher the tick...

I'm looking to buy a Trading System from some1 automated or not

I forgot to mention that that 400% is returned uncompounded. You can apply compounding with whatever money management strategy you so desire. If you trade any kind of decent size, $3,000,000 USD can be recouped in a farily short amount of time if such a system is applied to a variety of...

I'm looking to buy a Trading System from some1 automated or not

ProfChaos: If you are indeed serious, I will consider letting you in on one of my currencies systems, which has returned 400% per year over the last several years. Asking price is $3,000,000.00 And no, I am not being facetious. This is a serious reply to your classified. RoughTrader

    Eur/USD

I never, for the life of me, could understand why anyone would want to try to front-run or fade the sentiments of any market participant, including "the experts". Particularly for the case of Euro FX, the market is too liquid to be pushed through a major move by anyone. People's sentiments...

be humble ... giving back to society

A few notes, not necessarily connected to each other: My general observation over 30 years of living has told me that generosity is pretty much independent of one's wealth. There are priests and pastors who give their whole life efforts to bettering the lives of people, and most of them...

    Tunnel Method

Any channel or tunnel method like the one designed will whipsaw when the markets move sideways. I'm assuming Vegas uses stop orders to enter and reverse positions, and this is particularly prone to whipsaws because FX prices tend to spike in extreme manners before reversing. I've developed...

    Tunnel Method

I just read the article - very interesting. It's amazing that coincidentally one of the systems I designed for currencies on 1 hour bars uses almost identical concepts as the tunnel method. I have been enjoying healthy profits in all the pairs I trade with my method. RoughTrader

How do you scale-in and why?

And at the risk of sounding foolishly arrogant, I will state that traders that claim that scaling out of positions should never be done simply do not know what they are talking about. RoughTrader

How do you scale-in and why?

In a very general sense, I feel scaling in does not provide much benefit. Let's say you want to take on a position with 3 contracts. Without scaling in, the worst case loss is simply Loss = 3 * Stop Loss Amount However, as you are scaling in, your entries become farther into the...

    Expectancy above .50??

The Sharpe ratio does indeed have it's limitations. Because it is a ratioed measure of average return to the standard deviation of the return, the sharpe ratio captures the statistics of the returns only as accurately as the standard deviation can be meaningfully applied to the data. Let it...
