    Vista = Windows ME.

Couldn't agree more - which is why I made the move to Mac. Started with 15" MacBook Pro and love it. When my PC dies I am getting a 24" iMac.

Congress to have a hearing on commodity index funds and speculators

Potential action that the exchanges themselves may take (from the link I cited above): "If oil and the dollar can't break the commodity bubble I see the chance of incredible prices in beans and corn followed by the exchanges forcing liquidation of front month and the second month and third...

    Market Profile

Get the book "Steidlmayer on Markets: Trading With Market Profile." Well worth the price. I have a friend who is a professional pit trader. That is the ONLY book he has ever recommended that I read.

I don't know Jack Hershey from Adam but I have found that all of the above are spot on.

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

This is true as well. Your opinions are well-respected in my book. The DOM seems more suited to scalping and short swings. I think you can catch longer moves off a price chart. And it depends on what market. There is a big difference between the DOM for ES and YG for example. I would not...

Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative

Indicators lag price. And a price chart lags the DOM. You can see market turns on the DOM before you see the price prints on a chart.

Getting into some wheat at these levels

I'd be very careful basing trades on "should see" and "looks like". Especially in a market like wheat which is thinly traded and controlled by some very big players.

Will the market plunge if (or when) Obama gets elected as Dem candidate?

I doubt very much he will withdraw troops from Iraq. Maybe a token withdrawal at best. He will not want to be saddled with defeat on his watch. Kind of like the war Johnson inherited from Kennedy. Once in office he will change his tune.

    Learn Price Action

That's it in a nutshell. This works for me as well. Scalp your way in, scalp during the duration and scalp your way out. Just watch the DOM. You can't do this off a chart. The ideal place to trade is in a pit. Where you can tell what the market is doing by all the noise and activity (or...

Massive Oil find in Midwest: Some Relief

You can find all the oil you want. Problem is nobody wants to build the extra refining capacity to handle it. "Not in my backyard!" I don't think we have built a new refinery in this country since the late 70's.

Latest software options for Mac + Win XP?

I bought a 15" MacBook Pro recently for a back-up system in case my WinXP PC went down. Absolutely love it. When my PC dies I am getting a 24" iMac. I use IB so I just run their Mac version and it works fine. I do not have XP on my laptop at all and I can hook it up to my 24" monitor if I...
