Seems weird. I can’t see any benefit to competing with robinhood. Seems like a lot of work to compete for small accounts that generate more customer service than commissions generated.

Does seem overdone. I don’t know much about the backend but you would think it would be easy for SEC to see these guys for own any shares. Has to be some sort of reporting of stocks owned under a brokerage.

Seems most it stems from PDT rule. These firms all promise no PDT and these 500$ accounts buy in hoping to make it rich. Never happens. Complete waste of time to trade so under capitalized.

Quandl has something from Zacks for earnings. Never used it myself.

I think it’s reasonable to not want your money tied up limit up or limit down. Not sure why so many fight so hard for topstep. Save the money, get another job and make your bankroll. Not everyone can trade within their restrictions and I have no idea if the longevity of it. They want scalpers...
