I can clearly see the tax adavantage if you live there but what the point if you have to bring back your profit to your home country ?
Don't you get taxed at that time or do you use an international debit card and leave the funds in Gibraltar ?
Hi spinfoiltrading,
I'm a discretionary FX trader and my signals are based upon price action.
Would you mind giving us a bit of background ?
What time frame do you trade ? Are you scalping ?
How long have you been trading ?
Cheers
Very interesting indeed.
I have to tell you that I was looking at the French website (well, we have traders in France too :) ) and I'm really surprised by the price difference:

Very good question.
It depends if you're looking for a trend reversal or a pull back break out, and your chart show both types of setup.
Concerning the long trade, this is a pull back breakout. If the previous trend was strong (and it looks like), any high 1 or high 2 within the pull back...
Thanks for that.
Indeed I can find some pretty amazing setups for almost half the price !
The idea of having 2 computers is attractive but since I run the same trading platform with several charts on the 2 screens, I prefer having only 1 system to handle that.
I'm about to order this computer for 3 000 USD:
Studio XPS 8100 (D00X8105)
Intel® Core⢠i7 Processor 880 (3.06GHz, 8MB)
12 288 Mo (2 x 4 096 Mo / 2 x 2 Go) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory
2TB Dual Hard Drive Raid 0 "Stripe" (2x1TB - 7200rpm)
1GB ATI Radeon⢠HD 5770 Graphics Card...
"These rules of the road will help protect the American public in the largest area of retail fraud that the CFTC oversees: retail foreign exchange," CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler said in a statement.
I think this is true, how many 1k accounts have been blown up because of too much leverage ...
Very interesting article and I don't know a lot about this guy.
He seems to be a "manual high frequency trader", has anyone got a bit more info about his trading style ?
I understand he's a member of exhanges, is he a market-maker ?
Thanks
If you're an independent trader managing your own investments you won't qualify.
That's why I may never qualify even though I spent 3 years studying hard to pass the 3 levels !
True - he says that every bar could be a setup bar, but he distinguishes a setup bar from a signal bar and a signal bar from an entry bar.
Subtle nuance, but this what it is all about ...
I'm also interesting in these rebates but the idea of opening an account with an intermediary doesn't sound very attractive.
Does anyone here get rebates to trade Forex ?
Experiences and opinions welcomed !
Thanks
