I'm pretty new myself but i'm trading eurodollars, looking at short sterling as well. I wouldn't wanna hold outright positions overnight but that's just me maybe, holding a spread overnight is a bit different.
Indeed, well it's nice that you trade live. You might be able to find some stuff if you search for it, or just drop an email to some trading arcade/prop firm. That sounds nice, legging in/out and squeezing some extra ticks in the spread.
If you do a lot of volume per month you get lower commissions, if you trade through a prop/arcade that's a member of the exchange you get even lower plus lower exchange fees as well. You will probably need this if you start doing some size and "only" go for a tick in the spread. But it depends...
You probably want slow if trading for rebate.. :) But you can check these out, some are slow and some a bit faster.

So is it really trading in the "normal sense"? I only wanted to know why it was better than stocks for example. I'm. Not. From. The. Us. So. I'm not. Really. Interested.
When you talk about energy trading what type of trading are you talking about? Outright futures, directional, market making? Spreads, options? Why is it better than stocks? Im not a stock or a prop trader, just curious.. :)
You can check "NoBSdaytrading" i/many think he's good and "legit" he got some videos on youtube and an ebook (either you find the pdf or you buy the updated version on his website.. it's cheap)
I have a list but i haven't contacted them so i don't know what "deal" they have.

If you're interested in firms that do futures trading there are quite many it seems. But you will pay desk fee in some matter, but you will receive seed capital / get bigger size as you progress. Otherwise it wouldn't really be worth it i feel, maybe only if you have capital but wanna get lower...
When i look for futures prop firms there still seem to be some out there, if you have a proven track record that is. Found a few but i'm not sure how hard it is to get in..

Are you only talking about firms that do stocks trading in your post? It looks like it from the firms you mentioned, but i'm not sure. What about futures prop firms?
