SIGMA X crossing network Goldman Sachs

Yeah, I use it every day. It's solid. I've gotten filled for pretty big size in illiquid names through it.

The Uptick Rule - Your Thoughts

In a debate, the onus is on the person making the positive claim to provide evidence to back up their assertion. If you want to have an adult discussion, you will be expected to back up your claims - with evidence. Don't cry foul when this basic requirement of discussion is asked of you.

ok, I give up , here the sickest thing Ive ever seen MUST READ

I've been trying to locate this since it was at $20. Anyone with a daily % range filter saw this weeks ago. But, being normal people, they don't have the need for ego stroking through an anonymous message board. Seriously, shut up about it.

    Uptick Rule Removal

Where did I say that there wasn't a cost to it? You can't take what I say, add your own words, and claim I said it. That's not the way conversations work. Another way: A certain major ECN allowed exemptions from the tick test in stocks listed on a certain major exchange. As long as the...

There were ways around the uptick rule. I gave you one of them. Who cares if Joe Public knew about it?

    ETF Deathwatch

Macroshares have a new series of up/down oil. DOY/UOY Each started trading at 25$/share. They were supposed to only hold Treasuries and cash and transfer assets between the two as oil moved around. I assumed that the prices of the two would always add up to 50$. I built a pretty big...

    Uptick Rule Removal

It was very easy, and legal, to short on a downtick even when there was an uptick rule. You have no idea what you're talking about.

i've searched thru all of ET for scalping threads...

I've got keys similar to NYOB. Lots of ways to bid on different ECNs. Various keys will place my orders inside the NBBO by 1c, 5c, etc. I have keys that post/ping dark books, various on close/on open keys, all kinds of cancel keys, tier size keys. It's all useful if you know how...

    Apartments in Chicago

I lived in Lakeview (just north of Depaul/Lincoln Park) right after undergrad. There's a ton of stuff to do, but, I agree with posters here that it might be a little pricey. After Lakeview, I moved to the Ravenswood area, which is a bit north and west. You can get there via the Brown...

Is it possible to short ultra ETFs the old fashioned way and not by buying short ETFs

Short 100$ worth of the triple short ETF = 300$ long side exposure. Use proceeds from short sale to buy 100$ worth of triple long ETF = 300$ long exposure Use margin on cash from short sale to buy another 100$ of long ETF = 300$ long exposure So, with 100$ they get 900$ long side...

Routing to island for a limit on open order doesn't always fill??

If I send OnOpenRash, and it's not filled, it will convert into a normal NSDQ limit order. I'm not sure if this is my platform (Anvil) or done on Nasdaq's side.

Yes it still happens. But, it's usually only for a penny or two and a very limited number of shares. Really not much opportunity there.

Not getting filled on hidden orders?

Are you absolutely positive it's ISLD prints you see going through your price? There are plenty of other books that print on NAS that aren't ISLD. If you're seeing size going off in illiquid stocks, there's a good chance it's dark liquidity.
