    see www.trade2win.com a UK site that, among other things, discusses the above. Consensus is that spread betting is not for the scalper/day trader but for longer term holders.

    Good luck. I am in the UK so I have never heard of CRamer but I see there is a forum on Elitetrader that discusses/castigates him. Seems the best research is your own and the best decisions are your own so don't follow "tips" WALL STREET Forum on Elitetrader...

    You are in the USA so much of what you talk about is not known to me re-vehicles, IRA etc but your idea sounds good. Interactive Brokers are used by vast numbers of traders in the USA and UK. If you have a small fund then you can experiment. I also believe IB has a Demo trading account facility...
