Maxpi, like I was trying to explain earlier, they don't just measure a change in color, they measure a shift in apsorption bands. Read up on spectroscopy, I can't explain it any better than that.

Nah, they know what colors they are. They can use spectroscopy and measure the shift in absorption lines caused by various elements.

Plants are DEFINITELY asocial. You seem to be hung up on this idea that these are "silly" concepts, but they are technically correct. They cannot however, be antisocial or social.

Actually the 'a' prefix means not "the opposite" but simply "without". Asocial means "without socializing". This is very different than antisocial which means "against society".

No, the fact that a plant has no capacity for belief is only incidental. It is the fact that the plant HAS no belief that makes it an atheist.
