That's crazy - i would never call that. I have no need to pick the turns. I would rather wait for the market to give me an opportunity to go with the direction. Price action, the tape and volume will dictate in which direction to go. From being a counter-trader for awhile i realised it...

Ya i agree i will end this childish behaviour - just this guy deserves a taste of his own medicine as he constantly belittles others.

Whats that then 3 for 0 and 12 points underwater. Good job. :D

You have your view on back-testing however i was simply stating that back-testing a random entry method which Buy1Sell2 mentioned will provide no statistical edge. Back-testing a simple random entry system can be easily done with host of different money management methods. However, you can...

100% correct imo - but it matters not if you are right or wrong Buy1Sell2 is very stubborn with his view even though any back testing would show no statistical edge with random entry.

Well good luck and all the best in your trading then. I hope you continue to pick random entries and bottom picking techniques - will be glad to take your money anytime.

Equal chance wow - if you believe that then you might as well believe trading is random. Does no-one employ tape reading or price action analysis here. You must be watching different charts to the ones i am.

So we agree it does not work. Please stop acting like trading is so easy and like shooting darts at a dartboard. If you did any back-testing you would realise 50/50 odds even with decent stop outs does not work. Trading is difficult, no trader is a machine and we all handle losses...

Wow so its okay for you too clown on others when they post losing trades. As for your trade, it was simply gambling - you have no concept of the tape or volume or even price. If you did then no way in hell you would have taken that long. But whatever, i am not here to claim i am a great...

That's silly and you know it is. No trader has the emotional attachment to the market as machine does. Buy1Sell2 whenever you mention these easy methods of trading i don't ever think you take into account of human emotions. If you believe in that method so much then simply program it and...

Nice bottom picking :D You might as well flip a coin and you would have better odds.

I think waiting for confirmation is better idea. They were clearly gunning stops either side and if you had a short signal you should defo wait for close below 57.25. Quite common for ES to blast out of small range trapping breakout traders and then swinging back the other way to take out all...

Okay whatever works for you. There are a million ways to trade this thing and make money. I wonder however would you change your strategy if you had a period of losing months???

Sorry i am not here to insult anyone i simply wanted to know if your strategy had been back tested. I know you are a veteran trader so i am not trying to be a smart ass. Just with my own trading, i only ever felt confident in my strategy if i know over the long run with a large enough sample...

No not at all. Like i said i am a discretionary trader but i know my plays, i have rules for my entries and exits. I have money management rules, scaling, trailing rules. These can all be back tested and trader can see if their particular strategy has a positive expectancy over the long run...

Well obviously but gambling with an edge can be financially rewarding. To others just seeking the thrill go to Vegas.

I have to agree to this somewhat. It does seem like simple strategy Buy1Sell2 uses, he cannot provide us with any stats to whether this system works. If it does then that is very good but i have tested simple systems like the one Buy1Sell2 employs and most do very badly. Without a back...

When you say bigger money - can you give us an example of value of account for the bigger player?? I am assuming most people on ET never exceed 500 lots at a time - i maybe wrong though.
