I'm sure it does. The moment I open the mask the price goes automatically up.
This happens nearly always, ie. it's repeatable.
Yes, a network sniffer will prove it. I'll investigate this next week.
No, no, it sure sends the orders to MMs. Hey, in the last days I'm

"QuoteSource is ideal for accessing large amounts of real-time or delayed data through a decoded ASCII data stream over TCP/IP."
Where can I find details about your Quotesource product?
Is the API freely available for studying & testing?
My initial conclusion of this is:
The TWS is useless for placing orders via it.
A better method is doing it via an own program using the API, or via a 3rd party program (for example Ninja Trader etc; though I have no experience with NT yet).
nassau, thanks for the confirmation.
this is unbelievable, shocking, it's a big scandal!
I don't find the right words to condemn such dirty practices of the brokers at the moment. Maybe more later...
Can the Genesis C++ API be used only with the MS C++ compiler?
Is there a POSIX version of the API available?
Ie. for using it under Linux and a standard C++ compiler like the g++.

when you open a mask and begin filling it... long before you...

named for example "Data" or so...
And another one for all the APIs out there...

I'm sure the MM sends me such codes but I don't know how to interpret them.
I think they use the fields BidSize and AskSize...
I don't know. I think the IB Demo is connected to the network of the Market Maker education school or so.
Somehow it looks very realistic, but I'm no more sure about
how the IB demo internally really works. As said it looks very realistic.

I rather meant CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange).
I mentioned it because when I use the default routing in the IB TWS system (called "SMART routing") then it routes options mostly to "Destination: CBOE".
