My attempt to earn a funded account with Earn2Trade

Need to get back into muay thai training. With such a tight non-working income...not easy. If I can get my funded account in the next 2 weeks. Renew my dirt-cheap room rent for another month until the EOM August, I should be in a position to withdraw a decent 5-figure amount. Just need to...

So let's assume that a trader has indeed

It's all about scalability. Most traders are not able to scale properly because their strategies are based on momentum, not trend. IMHO. Only the 1% can trade on trend...consistently.

So let's assume that a trader has indeed

Yes, I'm getting close. Which is why I am documenting again the struggles of my trading endeavor.....but I'm real close now. Real. Close. I know my SWOT. My biggest threats have been somewhat neutralized by simpfly'ing my strategy within a shorter window to trade. So far. So good. But a...

So let's assume that a trader has indeed

This might be one of the most helpful "food for thought" posts I have ever received as a response from anyone on this site. Thank you. Very much. I will have more "investor thinking" questions in the coming months as I build my track record.

So let's assume that a trader has indeed

Good question. And very valid reasonable points btw. I guess initially when I started trading it was just about me. But as someone who has bettered themselves as a person in order to become a better trader. Yes, you read that correctly. I basically became the opposite of an ugly, mean...

So let's assume that a trader has indeed

So $5M of my own capital (grown from a meager $10K initial account) would be the absolute minimum to attract some outside money is what you're saying?

So let's assume that a trader has indeed

created a great trading system....solid stats....logical risk management.....proper scaling ladder. What are the next steps for him to create his own hedge fund?

    Is trading easy?

I can tell you have poured hundreds of hours doing chart analysis. Not many people can see the relative easiness of 10 points on the SPX on the 1M charts. Congratulations.

what was your aha moment when you first started trading?

One of the most vital turning points to becoming a consistent trader is getting rid of the "overbot and oversold" concept. It's been a completely different trading experience ever since...

My attempt to earn a funded account with Earn2Trade

It depends on being in sync with the higher TFs like the daily, 4h and 1h -- and a combo of other indicators but mostly gauging market reaction to econ data which is why I have now started to trade in the late morning/early afternoon since I can get a more accurate read on the market sentiment.

My attempt to earn a funded account with Earn2Trade

My trading concentration is super sharp from 12-4 but I really need to get it back to 10-4 to take advantage of some of those morning moves.

My attempt to earn a funded account with Earn2Trade

MES only. I employ a scale-in and scale-out strategy for both booking gains and losses based on the chart movements and my ability to minimize/maximize gain/losses. I will do a max of 20 MES contracts but I tend to feel most comfortable with a max of 15 MES. I've come back from steep losses...

My attempt to earn a funded account with Earn2Trade

So far, trading fewer hours has led to better decision making and rationalizing "phantom" trends has slowly dissipated as a result so this has been a tremendous benefit, confidence-wise. The 5-pt stop.....I'm still deleting them ocassionally but now whenever I delete a stop loss order, my...

Any feedback on APEX TRADER FUNDING?

Apex is in talks to have their own Rithmic server (or something to that effect)? I just saw this briefly in a forum somewhere.....don't remember where. Does something like this give them a bit more "credibility?"

My attempt to earn a funded account with Earn2Trade

I don't disagree that the trailing drawdown is a serious obstacle but for me....it has helped me get rid of "overbot and oversold" in my trading philosophy which has been one of the greatest improvements in my overall trading psychology. To each, their own. I improved myself as a trader from...
