It looks like you are not comfortable in smaller timeframes. MA works the same on the same pattern , no matter what timeframe it is, so do other indicators based on price . Some of the patterns are rarely present on daily charts but plentiful on 1 min chart.

Generaly speaking ,yes. Any sound idea can be transfered to any timeframe. Parameters of your indicators must be adjusted though.

What was the reason for entering long on gap down day with price making lower highs and lows the whole day ? You must learn basics first. Experienced trader would never enter long unless there is some support formed and price is moving up. It would be very difficult to make a worst trade...

My advice was to papertrade NQ,YM and ER first and when profitable then move to ES . I should have write it more clearly .

There was no TA based reason to enter short on Monday. It was just a lousy trade. One must wait for a cycle to be completed , which in this case this will be on 10-6. Btw I personally think that there was no trade as posted ( 5 minis ).

I am assuming that you have a profitable method and know a lot about risk and money management . If yes, then 1/ Stay away from ES for couple of months.Trade just NQ,YM ER. 2/Do a lot of simulated trading and be very profitable before you will trade for real. 3/Start with 10K .

Why do you torture yourself ? If you do not know how to predict reversals you must wait for cycle completion .

Daily cycle will be completed on 10/6/06 so no one with decent TA knowledge should be entering big positions right now. Ignoring sentiment is OK if you can predict.
