    Writing options for a living

Let me clarify all this tread for those who still do not get it. Complex strategies like butterflies, condors and such are just for pros who have a smaller spread then retail traders. Spread will cost you about 15-20% of your projected profit if you are a retail trader. No matter how much one...

    Time Stop for cycle completion

Even there was no gap, cycle was clearly over by 9:45 est but best entry was almost one hour late. So I do not think that time entries or stops would work arbitrarily at all.

    Time Stop for cycle completion

1/ You should not enter unless you are 100% convinced that cycle is complete and price will reverse right away. 2/ If price will not move significantly against me, but there is no reversal, I would let stops in place and wait till I am convinced that reversal will not happen or I am stopped...

    Writing options for a living

One does not to be concerned with IV at all . Just look at the action of the underlying and place a credit spread( to determine your risk ) when you think that reversal is eminent .

    Writing options for a living

Is IV the only thing you are using to place options trades ? I highly doubt that this could be profitable. There is much more to know than mere IV.

    Writing options for a living

You have to read a fine print( which is not really there ) . What they mean is that " majority out of money options expire worthless " but they do not bother to explain that to the losers. They just take their money.

    start up cash

It does not have to be that complicated, just form simple partnership with two of them as general partners and do what they tell you to do . If they tell you to trade stocks, trade stocks. If they tell you to stop, just stop. Make sure that agreement spells out what will happen if money is lost.

    Writing options for a living

You might be right. To time your entry, ask for time/sales figures for your puts and monitor how premium reacts to the price movement. Best is to buy puts on run up of course, when you feel the top is in.

    Trader Vic's Trendline

There is a bunch of methods which accomplish that. I have developed some of them so I know what i am talking about. Start with a free demo of Drummond geometry and if you like to do something like that , tinker with it and within a two years you should be able to come up with your own trendline...

What's the best application of technical analysis?

As far as range forecasting goes, NN will not work better then simple statistic method. I have tried it and have seen other to wrestle with it without much of a success. If you will talk to Jurik, ask him if his NN can accurately forecast time of reversal. That would be more usefull .

    Top in NDX and SPX

Based on intraday cycle analysis there are two possible reversal time periods. One is on Wednesday after 13:40est and the next one on Thursday, around 11:00 est . As a confirmation one can use a divergence with your favorite indicator. This should work well for daytrading. I do not think this...

    breakout/trendfollowing system for hedge

It will just depends on what do you want to trade. Generally speaking, intraday trendfollowing system should try to pick up trendline breakouts and pullbacks after reversals, combined with divergences to your favorite indicator. However this works better if you hold longer.
