    i agree with volume....do NOT sign anything. you'd be a fool to get suckered into any kind of non compete. you are entitled to earn a living where ever you chose. they do not offer anything that you can't get anywhere else. they will pursue litigation if you try to leave.

    i trade with a team now and it rules. it justifies my long commute to the office. but never would i trade with my wife. you don't need two ppl in the same household to be put through the emotional rollercoaster on a daily basis.

    nitro, i don't work for a prop firm - never have. i trade my own capital. i hate splitting my profits with anyone. trade with a small group of professionals. i've found that rates are negotiable everywhere. and also, you want to negotiate a lower base rate instead of rebates bc bd's...

    i don't know any professional traders who only trade 100 or 200k shares a month. at first, i thought you meant that many shares a day in order to get the rebate. all the professional traders i know, trade at least 500k shares a day - that's only 23 tix a day! i'm not a big fan of ib but...

    Lightspeed is good software but it won't do you any good when the firm's doors are closed because they lost all their customers.

    the per share rates are very high from 250,000 shares per day and up. if you are doing that kind of volume (especially over 500,000 shares), you'll be paying for their house in the hamptons inside of 12 months... also, there's a lot of bs fees as mentioned above

    Trader777 Exposed

    IB has caused me a lot of headaches in the past. Don't think I'll ever use them again. When I used them, it was down everyday even if it was for a short time. Just not for scalpers I guess.
