    Designing your subconscious state

Nerves learn. That is what they do. Muscles contract, that is what they do. Mitochondria metabolize and produce chemical energy that is what they do. Why make this point. Because nerves learn that is what they do. They can't help it they'll learn even if we don't want them to, i.e...

    bot wars

Yes, it would have been nice. I don't have a squawk but prem hit a sell threshold so I envision a sell program which triggers futures buying followed by an equities drop and then back forth through the resting stops, etc. It was too fast to even know what was happening until about 30 seconds...

    bot wars

Anybody witness the "bot wars" @ 9:00 am Chicago time in the ES. Nice a couple or more bots duked it out between the breakdown price of 1221.50 and 1220.50 slapping 15K contracts back and forth at the speed of light with a 1 point spread for 2 minutes. I guess a sell program hit the SIF's...

    Did P/C ratio reach 1.44?

OEX P/C ratio hit 3.0 early Sept. and it stayed up for an extended rally. Now we're entering oversold territory. But in Dec. when the P/C ratio tumbled after reaching + 2.5 it took awhile to bottom before rallying too. So we may bounce but could easily have a 2nd downleg before rallying. I...

What does Price Action Mean to you?

Hint: Price --- how you get paid!!! You don't get paid by volume, MACD, stochastics, news, open, close, etc. Price matters 'cause if you buy low and sell higher you make money. Sounds stupid?!? Alot of people don't get this. Buy on the dips? Sell on the rallies? O.K. if that works for...

    housing crash

Me at a BIG discount hopefully. The new Trump tower slated for completion in late 2007 on the Riverwalk in Metro Chicago would be nice.

Exactly. Use statistical "detrended" analysis to adjust your stops and also you might "loosen" your stops as profit accumulates(Risk adjusted). But on entry I like tight stops. It helps me psychologically and also my entry system is not a single contract.

I agree with Ripley stops are not fixed, I think it's best to use risk adjusted stops and risk adjusted position sizing.

Options expiration rally. Gap up. Fade the gap. Rally starting at lunch into the close. The only real profit taking was at the 2 pm turn after the volume spike up and at 3:30p.m. Either sell points would have been good for taking money off the table but I don't short strong closes like...

    Divergences

I would have to agree. That is if you feel compelled to trade every juke by all means take a position when the indices are not synced. But typically the easier money is made when all cylinders are firing in the same direction.
