Yes.. intraday trade the ESTX50 (eurex dtb via Interactive Brokers)and I trade the ES w/ IB. Never hold overnight. I was just curious whether they both get the same 60/40 tax treatment rule? --MIKE

I live in USA.. and trade the DJ Eurostoxx 50... does the 60/40 tax advantage apply to me? On a tax basis.. is it identical as if I were to trade the ES or NQ? ---MIKE

I am assuming that one can trade one contract of the ESTX50 the entire day.. w/o worrying about slippage and good fills. Also.. what time frame of candlesticks would you guys recommend if your objective is to scalp between 10-15 points per a trade. -MIKE

Ditch, I agree with you that the first 2 hours of the day for the Eurostoxx are the smoothest.. but honestly looking back at 2 minute candlesticks I see the rest of the day the same as semi choppy. No noticable difference between the 2 hours before the US markets open. --MIKE

I was just curious to know what is the optimal time of day to trade the DJ Eurostoxx 50 index. Do you guys think the liquidity is suffice to trade at any time during the day.. assuming you are trading 1-5 contracts? I also notice that this index tends to trend smoothly.. much better than the ES...

A chic I knew back in college.. bought PUMA at $5 back in '99 then sold it near 100. Then she reversed her long and went short and covered it near $5. She made about 190 point x 2000 shares ($380k) on PUMA. Not bad.. she doesnt even know what a p/e ratio is... she told me it was pure luck...
