Buy a Call Option v Sell a Put Option

That is clear. But I thought and read around that there was a difference between cash secured and naked. That being having the total cash availability for eventual assignment (cash secured), or just the margin to enter an unprotected short and not enough to cover the underlying (naked).

Doesn't naked mean you have enough money for the margin but not to cover the stock equivalent, and cash secured that you have enough to cover assignment in full?

You can own a piece of this French castle for $55

Profits? Well... There is a lot in Europe going for very little, but not for profit. Most of those contracts are for cheap castles in east Europe, or this one in France, houses in Italy for 1€... They are looking for benefactors or people who want to change their life relocating somewhere...

it's (bitcoin) the wrong market cap, for instance, relative to gold, - Paul Tudor Jones

It's the fact that you can't value it against what we normally pay for, that gives BTC potential. This is the reason why, it is on a hyperbolic trend and might not retrace to the abyss... it probably shouldn't even be analysed on chart or fundamentally like any other asset. It is a disruptive...

I have only used those exchanges to shop and then moved everything to paper cold storage. But if you want to play the arbitrage... Would you feel comfortable shorting BTC futures without hedge on IB while holding bitcoin anywhere else? I mean, this thing is wild...

PLTR on a tear.. lockup period expires ?

I protected my shares by buying puts and selling expensive calls premium at 80$ strike, 45dte. That 80$ strike paying (yesterday) 1.95 made me think about the expected potential of this stock.

Buy a Call Option v Sell a Put Option

I am a trader but not an expert or a professional. I have been using options for about 5 years, trading markets over 10. I dared to give advice because I think I started a bit like the OP, by chipping away info from traders I knew, and trying with real money to cover spot trades or viceversa...

Buy a Call Option v Sell a Put Option

I am only trying to make your life easier. Option trading experts normally wouldn't even bother replying to question that shows very low knowledge level. That's why someone already adviced you to read a book on it in your other thread. That advice was gold.

Buy a Call Option v Sell a Put Option

Seriously, this is not linear trading. You can learn linear trading on youtube. The basics are essential with this instruments and are complicated enough that you need to read hundreds of pages to realise you need to read it again... You need to know the effect of the Greeks on premiums...
