2 fills. long 600 TER... didn't do anything... pretty lame. short 600 BC. took off up 1$, came right back down... short at the bottom, got out near top, went long at a high level, lost on that too... lost another $100... now down 700. settled down and managed to make $600 on...

still a total mess... lots of games going on. hard to seperate the real orders from the BS day trader screw you over orders.... mnx

$430 in the red today. High of 1600ish. Got smoked on RIMM bought 700 shares at 52.60 as it resumed trading... That's when my my quotes became slow and I was unable to place orders.... had to restart the trading software... arg! left early @ 2:30 today... mnx

crashes all the time.... sounds like an exageration to me... although on a related story when RIMM resumed trading today I was long 700 shares my quotes were delayed by several seconds and orders weren't accecepting or canceling... had to close the program and re-open while other traders...

RNR: I use prosperpro (the inhouse software at the firm i trade at.) I almost always take liquidity, I hate waiting to be filled... John_NYC: I'm trading listed also, no rebates here. mnx

SEC fees would be the big difference... they are by far the biggest fee for me day in day out... if that's included then well .005 may be good... mnx

I've heard of rates as low as $.0005/share (not $.005) plus ecn fees... That particular deal had a profit split, but I'd rather split profits than pay huge commissions any day... Definitely not worth it. IMHO Much better deals out there. mnx

that's a prime example of when it would be beneficial to use a market order... when I have a bunch of shares to buy/sell... (usually when I'm getting out of a position) I split my order up... limit/market/ecns etc... If I send a large market order I'm filling Don or some bright trader and...

hey guys, I was just checking the NYOB on a bunch of stocks and I saw someone who had bids on lots of stocks for 3000 shares already... It's about 9:15 now. I'm guessing whoever this is has a way of dynamically updating bids and offers as the futures price changes... that's cool stuff...
