You did notice that this higher low was also an FTT, right? They almost always are.:) Jack said awhile back that if you are an edge trader, ftts are youre highest probablility reversal pattern. Sometimes I get the feeling that he knows what hes talking about.

I was pretty sure when we took out the LOD that 1290 was going to be tested. If I am expecting a decent move I try not to exit until I get a higher low on the 5 min chart which finally came on the 2:25 bar. The last swing low almost always gets tested so I feel fairly safe as long as we are...

I am only comfortable getting in when I see the potential for a multipoint move because I am habituated to looking at "groupings" of bars. I'm going to do some experimenting Monday using a chart with only the last and previous 5 minute bar and the two excel sheets to see if narrowing my focus...

As usual you are right on the mark. Five minutes is a hell of a long time. LOL. I think traders, better than anyone, know how long five minutes can be. You must anticipate to trade rockets, imho. I use the Macd and Sto to tell me when a possible rocket is developing but I will be in way before...

To answer the title question: YES. A little over five years now and it is more interesting now than when I started. You will never learn all there is to know about trading in one lifetime, imo.

Ive had some bad experiences in ring games too. They say there is no collusion but Ive been playing for many years and saw too many odd plays in online ring games to be comfortable with. I do play tournaments and if they are rigged, they are not too good at it because I do pretty well.
