What happens to the options of a stock that gets delisted from NYSE

If/when they delist, the options will become “close only” and liquidity will be a lot worse to exit them.

OTC markets - Why IB dont send order to ECN if a stock have less than 2 market makers ?

Just IB. Otherwise no one would trade those stocks and they clearly are traded, just not by IB customers.

    Corporate bond price chart sites

They’re good too, yes. Any other sites you found useful, for example checking the various features and terms of corporate bonds? TWS is ok, but not particularly comprehensive. This one used to be good https://www.cbxmarket.com/ but they changed names and now the new site I haven’t found...

buying options for the stock of my employer's will it cause trouble?

Ask your HR department for all the rules related to trading in your company’s stock, including timing and options. No need to bias them against you by mentioning puts. Read them carefully. Most non-executive employees won’t have blackout periods or enough corporate information to rise to the...

    Portfolio Margin in IB

The Risk Navigator is good for when they announce a margin change and you can put in the future margin profile as a “what if” for future date YYYYMMDD. But these portfolio margin changes were not announced nor did they have any such profiles since they took effect each morning so you couldn’t...

    Portfolio Margin in IB

Nearly all stocks I checked including several megacap $10B+ ones had higher PM requirements than the 15% minimum. Many were 30-40%, some 50-70%. This is a recent change post the virus crash; before that IB was much better. Now their PM margin is quite poor and often no better than Reg T and...

JUNE CL Contract - Trading Restricted at TD Ameritrade Mid-Day

On IB it’s “CLM0”. They didn’t suspend any so far, but the negative prices screwed up the quotes and charts for May. I understand you couldn’t trade May that day since it was too close to delivery, but I didn’t try.

Is a LLC/ C corp worth it for daytraders? Advisor wants to charge me $7k

Well you can get into a group plan but that’s usually thought an employee aggregator like Trinet or similar. But the point I was making was about deducting the health insurance cost, not the plan in particular (although getting a good group plan instead of a crappy Obamacare one is another good...

Is a LLC/ C corp worth it for daytraders? Advisor wants to charge me $7k

The main benefits for a trading entity are getting health care, retirement plan, and similar tax benefits. Trader status is separate and is more for people who lose money and might want to get ordinary losses instead of capital ones in a bad year.

    Thinkorswim vs Interactive Brokers

TD is only free for listed stocks and they only offer a very limited number of routes and order options. IB offers over a dozen routes and many more order types, options, etc. whether or not you care about this and find it worth paying a commission for depends a lot on your style of trading...

Insider trading by esteemed member of congress

Here’s a different senator who not only sold a bunch of stock early, they also bought companies like CTXS to benefit from remote working in a shutdown. https://nypost.com/2020/03/19/georgia-senator-dumped-stocks-after-private-meeting-on-coronavirus-report/

Anyone analyse on the survivability of IB in 2020?

They’re super over capitalized too. Watch for rising margin requirements for customers though.

    Wash sale loss carry over?

Sure but if OP made all their trades as the same broker, as is likely, that broker should have handled the wash sales, if any, correctly. If you make trades across different broker in the same security, they won’t know about each other and the reporting can be more complicating.

    Wash sale loss carry over?

I was not under the impression that options where substantially identical to each other (different maturities, strikes), so I wouldn’t have thought the trade cited in OP would have caused a wash sale in the first place. Are you sure your broker reported that? The only case I know of when an...

    IBKR suddenly changed margin requirements?

Brokers can set any margin they want for stocks higher than the legal minimums. For those where the PM requirements are higher than Reg T minimums, their non-PM requirements are equal or worse.
