In the past there's always been an inverse relationship between the Dollar and Commodities. Recently, especially since covid things have changed. The paper I suggested is a good read on why this is happening.

Is there an inverse relationship between commodity prices and the US dollar? I don't see it in the charts posted below. Help me to understand. Thanks in advance.

Price predicts it's own future, (when you know what to look for) but so does cyclic volume analysis, especially with crude oil. This gentleman's work is also still predictive.

I could not agree more. I posted a picture of an example trade.

Forget that book knowledge stuff. Just look for the highest high, or the lowest low in a 3 or 4 bar sequence on the 4 hour time frame. Same thing works on the 1 hour time frame. Example below for Gold..only thing required is PATIENCE.. as it would take 20 plus hours to win this trade.

Not sure if I see what you see. I traded all 3 reversals for wins. I've circled them here...None of them were a failure.:D

Question from my mentor that changed my trading. "Mike, when does a 4 hour chart 3 Bar reversal not work?" I will never go back to lower time frames.

Forex swing trading 4 hour charts for gold, crude oil and Nasdaq. (He gets a whuppin if he tries to trade lower time frames) When he graduates, he moves to Futures trading the same.
