    Which Offshore Jurisdiction?

Have a look at the court papers from the fella who got busted for spoofing in the UK. Can't remember his name but according to the authorities he was the man that caused the flash crash, hahaha. More like he was easy meat with no political benefactors/protection. Anyway, the papers show how and...

A Look Back on TT’S First Year

Pat, nice and thanks for replying. I'm looking into TT.

Im looking for CFDS broker with a platform for daytraders

IB + Button Trader a marriage made in heaven for somebody that needs to put orders in/out quickly. Having said that I don't think BT offers the ability to trade CFDs, something to do with margining problems etc. FX, yes, anything on an Exchange, yes.

Should we use the same indicators for everything?

Friday's 8am-2pm (London time, 4 hours diff. remember) on the Dow futures. First they tempt them in, nice higher flow, everything looking great. Then they smash them out with thrust, then boom, back off to new highs. No indicators needed, just understand who's getting fucked and then look to...

Should we use the same indicators for everything?

Nobody, I said the reason they lose is because they don't take YEARS to visually study their indicator of choice and fully understand the nuances of it, its subtleties, where it's strong, where it's weak, what happens before and after failures, what happens before the indicator works and so on...

Should we use the same indicators for everything?

And when I sais study them in the above post I mean VISUALLY, not with some computer simulation, that won't work because more powerful and richer people/companies than you have all done the same simulations and all got the same results and those results won't be that good, if even that.

Should we use the same indicators for everything?

Yes, because you can use them in reverse when they fail, that really is the secret to using indicators properly. There's gold in failures. All indicators are good and all of them can be used to effectively make money even something as simple as a single 7 day moving average. That is the good...

What To Expect With A Trump Presidency

Interesting take on why Trump nor anyone can actually simplify the tax situation in the US. Basically a simple tax would throw hundreds of thousands out of business and on to the jobs market. Granted, it will have other massive benefits but the transition (complex to simple) would be fraught...

A Look Back on TT’S First Year

Can TT be programmed for simple strategies like Button Trader? For example, one click puts in a stop limit order to buy 3 ticks above the market (with 2 tick limit) with an associated x tick stop and y tick profit level?

How could you survive the collapse of the economy?

The key to survival is simple, massively cut down on your monthly expenses to see it out. Create a budget and not only stick to it but play games to reduce even further. So if you need $1000 a month, see if you can save $100 that month. Economic crashes don't last forever so a) you'll be fine...

When shorting a CFD, do you pay (sell) at the BID price and sell(buy) at the ask price?

It may well be, but would you rather do business with a firm regulated by the UKs FCA or one regulated by Cyprus? Would you rather do business with a firm that has its operations and books examined by the FCA or by the Cypriot regulator? As I said, there's a reason why these firms are located...

When shorting a CFD, do you pay (sell) at the BID price and sell(buy) at the ask price?

Here's some more 'award winning' firms operating out of Cyprus. Who would have thought it! Pure marketing drivel and worthless at the same time. http://teletrade.co.uk/about/news/all/127475-teletrade-awarded-best-cfd-broker

When shorting a CFD, do you pay (sell) at the BID price and sell(buy) at the ask price?

I think it's almost impossible these days to find a broker, especially one regulated out of Cyprus, that isn't an 'award winner' or 'multiple award winning'. Basically it's meaningless, 'awards' have turned into marketing gimmicks and anyway most are paid for, ie pay our magazine or website...

When shorting a CFD, do you pay (sell) at the BID price and sell(buy) at the ask price?

Yes, in my example I was assuming the broker was DMA. But then it's the same non-DMA, you'll be offered a bid and an offer, if you want a guaranteed fill sell the bid (to cover a long or go short).

When shorting a CFD, do you pay (sell) at the BID price and sell(buy) at the ask price?

A CFD is like any other financial instrument, there's a bid and offer price. If you want to guarantee short, sell the bid, if you want a better price but no guarantee of a fill work an offer. Vice versa for longs.

Life span of a Desktop PC

I've had 10+ years of happiness with bog standard Dell machines, just make sure they have a decent chip (i3/i5) and 8GB Ram and you'll be fine for most PC jobs. I always think of them as like Ford tractors, the brand will never win any prizes but they do the job well.

    Trading US Options in UK

No it doesn't, you can trade options all day every day in the UK on many different exchanges, domestic or foreign. You might not think IB is the best broker, but it is for options trading. Hard to name another broker available to UK clients that has the same markets they offer at the same...

What are the downsides of CFDS?

Commissions and financing charges generally. The spread profit (or loss) is for the market makers or whoever is making the price but with a DMA broker that won't be them (unless they are also market makers but that price is available to the whole market, not just you).

10% success rate is better than 60% success rate?

10% can be better than 60% because at 10% you have a good chance of actually getting more than 10% winners with little chance of getting less. But if you have to get 60% winners to make money there's a good chance you'll go lower than 60% and hence lose money. But risk/reward does of course...
