93.33% Accuracy and Better is Achievable with this Forex Strategy.

There is a pretty low intellectual threshold required to understand what trading currencies is. If you think someone needs to be a genius to sign up for an Oanda account and understand that you're buying a currency while simultaneously selling another one then....good luck.

How does one build an educational trading business

I'd echo what Baron said, prove your own results. After that I would think it insane not to charge for your time while teaching, but the most "fair" way to go about it would be to have some kind of arrangement where upon completion of training and/or reaching the point where the person is...

    education provided

There are such things as bad students. In any sample of students (of any class at all, not just trading), a few will be good, a few will be bad, most will be so-so. Some people won't pay full attention or give full effort etc. and will blame the instructor, we've all seen this before. Next...

Where does using delta as a proxy for %ITM come from?

That helps clarify it for me! Thanks for the feedback. I know there are many studies and whatnot that show that simple trend following type stuff like "if price was up last month it is most likely to be up next month" have been proven (for stocks), so using randomness for the calculations would...

Where does using delta as a proxy for %ITM come from?

I only took one semester of calculus so I'm mostly just getting the gist of the MIT lecture but it is extremely interesting none the less. Thank you! Tell me if I'm in left field with this observation though: The idea that stock price is a random variable though doesn't make sense to me...

Minimum $ for funding an account

For a small account it may be best (just regarding fees etc.) to trade FX since you're paying the spread which is always the same proportion rather than paying flat commission rates per trade which can really add up, especially on a small account.

Where does using delta as a proxy for %ITM come from?

Where does using delta as a proxy for %ITM come from? I've heard and read this numerous times and looking at quotes it's definitely there, the Prob ITM % and delta are usually very close. Can anybody shed some light on this (apparent?) relationship?

93.33% Accuracy and Better is Achievable with this Forex Strategy.

If you believe this strategy is legit, given that you have a high enough trade frequency, you should already be retired right now rather than looking for investors. Anyone can make a strategy with 93% win rate, it's quite easy. Just set your profit target to 1 pip and set you stop to 500 pips...

AQR’s Problem With Machine Learning: Cats Morph Into Dogs

That's what I always thought, you feed it all the data you can get and it will write its own algos for you once it processes everything. Then again I know nothing about machine learning, cheers.

Why you should not learn to code

I'm sure that's the case but devoting that much time to it takes away from other things, having no background whatsoever in programming and trying to teach myself from scratch from a textbook. Maybe one day when I'm not as busy.

what is the currently severely devalued growth stock at this point?

Fundamentals entirely, although it does have short term momentum on the upside as you can see the recent higher lows on the chart. In a nutshell: It's a pretty fresh IPO company that has sold off since going public, cheap valuation in terms of PE which is actually relevant probably only for...

CADE. It's a bank stock, not tech. I'm long so feel free to bid it up.:D

Why you should not learn to code

Holy crap is this right! I started an online "learn to code in a few months" course hoping to learn some crude python skills to write some simple algos with like 5-10 "if" and similar conditions with different combos of those conditions to backtest and mostly fool around with it. Good gravy...

Are CEOs allowed to sell covered calls on stocks they own?

I did not advise "public company CEOs". I was "trained" on this very issue, apparently incorrectly. I'm not going to say which brokerage house I worked at but it's a large, national firm:banghead:. You're right. So glad I'm out of that fucking business.

Are CEOs allowed to sell covered calls on stocks they own?

A covered call is a bullish strategy. A CEO (or any executive paid on stock) is expected to and allowed to sell stock they are awarded, it's usually more than half of their total comp. Options positions held by officers/directors/insiders are not reported in company filings, so your entire...
