    Day Trading set-ups after 11 e.s.t.?

Can someone please tell me the value that they find in day trading the equity indices past 11 est? I'm having a hard time finding anything to do past 11 est, and I'm curious as to whether or not others find the same thing. Thanks.

    CME Housing Futures

Housing's gonna take an enormus beating......The Chicago Condo market is already begining to look somber.......perfect timing on the part of the CME to get these products up and trading. The word around the CME is that there's huge interest in these things, and that they should find good...

    Deathly silent on ET recently

Funny, it's been really somber around the CME the past week or so as well....... Rumor has it that there are a number of short vega hedge funds that have had their asses handed to them as of late......

How did you save up enough to trade?

I pimped mad amounts of ladies for 5 years........it's easy cash, with the exception of the fact that occasionally I had to raise my pimp cane......and make suckas pay......It funded the account

What will you do if you don't succeed in trading?

If trading doesn't work out, you'll find me driving around in a van solving mysteries. If I suck at solving mysteries, I'll enlist the help of the Harlem Globetrotters. Their basketball skills are outdone only by their penchants for explaining paranormal activities. :D

    -Trading mistakes-

Biggest mistake I made was using stops that were tighter than a nun. Sometimes being too conservative is just as deadly as being too loose.......

    Trades per day

I trade ES. Average 3 trades per day. I used to espouse the idea that the trend was my friend, and averaged many more trades per day. Now, however, I've become a trend fader, and have seen my success improve dramatically, and the frequency of my trading decrease considerably.

    Trading Hammers (revisited)

Niha- Thanks for the explanation. I now understand your approach towards exits. You're contributions to these threads have improved my trading by leaps and bounds. On another note, I'd like to ask if you make any sort of distinction between intra-day hammers that present themselves...

    Trading Hammers (revisited)

Hi Niha- I was hoping that you might be so kind as to answer a question that I have regarding the exit strategy that you have shared throughout this thread and the original "Hammers" thread. While your trading plan calls for entries that are, "price action based," your exits are not...

Which is more important in Index Futures? Entry or Exit?

In my case, entry and exit are the same thing. Therefore, neither is more important than the other. I'm a daytrader who always maintains a presence in the market. My concern is not the entry or exit level, rather, the reversal areas.......

    Technical Analysis in Chicago

Where are all the technicians in Chicago? Why can't I find anyone in this city, the derivatives capital of the world, who solely employs technical analysis to make their trading decisions? I've been all over this city, have spoken to some of the most legendary traders, sat in some of the...

A bird in the hand Is worth two in the Bush

I trade ES and use the following simple plan to protect my capital: For every ES point I book, I allow myself to give back roughly 1/3 of it before I call it a day. This plan is only applicable AFTER I've booked a profit and am TOTALLY out of a position. It does not apply to positions...

Strange question for traders at home

    1. Wake up at 7 am cst. 2. Eat a bowl of cereal or some fruit, and have a glass of orange juice. 3. Shower. 4. Throw on some jeans and a button up shirt. I've found that if I wear anything more casual, my attitude and attention span tend to mirror the casualness of my attire. 4...

Calling 'Em Like I See 'Em

Quietrader- I'm really enjoying your thread thus far. A wonderfully subtle demonstration of the "Know Yourself" theorm. A clear promulgation of the idea that one must know his psychological and social makeup before one can begin to find the most appropriate role for him in the market...
