WTB (4 qty) Intel Q9650 chips

I'd buy new, especially if you plan to use for trading. You'll never know how well someone has taken care of their CPUs.

Sure, start cutting education and threaten to release all the prisoners in order to get voters to vote in a tax increase. Nevermind efficiency.

WANTED: QQQQ Tick Data (high res)

I am trying to learn trading and I want to study historical candlestick charts to learn how to trade "price action". So far, I have only been looking at 1 hour charts with EOD data available free from Yahoo. The tradingphysics link above has what I want, but I only need resolution no greater...

How do you trade based off of "price action"

That was my subjective observation, maybe it was closer to 50%, I just generally felt like the current price behavior was not telling me much.

How do you trade based off of "price action"

I can see there's still a lot of debate about what price action really is. My possibly wrong, but my simple definition of price action is simply looking at candlestick or bar charts without generating indicators that involve calculations -- only visually-inspired drawings allowed which I...

How do you trade based off of "price action"

I am a newbie here. As the thread title asks, how does one trade based off of "price action". A lot of people claim to trade purely based off of this. To those who do, what do you look for? I have spent quite a bit of time looking at charts, as soon as I think I have some understanding of...

    mq4 to java or C++?

I have some mq4 files that I downloaded on the net. I think they run in Metastock or Metatrader, not sure which. The language looks very close to C++. Does anyone know of a cross-compiler to interpreter for these .mq4 files? They create a bunch of indicators and all I want to do is dump the...

I look around on this forum and all I see are men like myself. How come more women are not interested in trading?

    Not for Women!

When he brought up the computer, I expected to see a flight simulator... Can't wait till we run out of oil so that the developed world stops supporting those primitive religious camel f***ers. Let them go back to living in the stoneage. Their religion is holding them back.

Sharing Resources: Let's Not Reinvent the Wheel

Know how to program, don't know how to trade. Where do I begin?

I have been programming for over 4 years as my day job. I am quite good at software development, but not so good at trading. For those of you who do automated trading, what do you look for? I would like to make a scanner to continuously monitor hundreds of financial instruments in real time...

Backtesting Algorithm for Testing Buy Signals

Thanks, I realize that I cannot rely on back testing alone to validate a strategy and I plan to paper-trade a strategy before trading it with real money. I just like the systematic / rigid properties that come with a fully automated system. Back to my original question. Does anyone know...

Backtesting Algorithm for Testing Buy Signals

I am developing some buy strategies and I want to test my buy signals on historical data without considering sell signals. Basically, I am looking at the risk / reward (in hindsight) if I had bought at a certain time. Does anyone know of some common or standard algorithms for backtesting buy...

Why doesn't anyone realize Doctors have Bankrupted GM?

http://www.mfoundation.org I think I understand. It's basically a form of Stockholm Syndrome. If you can't live without something, you better figure out how to live comfortably with it. Basically, most people think that aging will not be cured in his/her lifetime, so best thing to do is...

    Credir card debt --staggering

My view is that weaknesses in the lending system should be brought up first, and then if nothing is done, exploited to such a point that change must happen. It's the same thing that happens with computer viruses. A lot of hackers do publish and warn about the exploits found before creating a...
