questrade's webtrader platform is not robust..... it simply shows you the net p/l based on the previous days closing price. You might want to look at their Axis product for more active traders, or cybertrader pro. those should have real time p/l calculations.

Be aware though that if you're going to daytrade US stocks through Questrade, make sure you open a US Dollar account to avoid all of the spread fees on currencies. If you trade US stocks from a CDN funded account, you'll get hit with a spreaf of 2.5% between the two sides of the trade. Can...

Bought some June AAPL $115 Calls yesterday at $1.10... They've been moving nicely today.... Anyone else think we could see $115 before the end of May?

+$1.21 on 2230 shares, 6 trades. what a waste of a day! had a good trade to open followed by a brutal 2nd trade....thankfully the rest of the trades made up for it (msft and qqqq's in the afternoon....). Really sucked to be working back for the day rather than be working ahead!

First post, but i've been actively trading my locked in funds since january. From january to feb 25 had a gain of about 5%, then that all drew back. Today: 2 trades, 1780 shares, +$323.08. Finally back in the black.
