    Soybeans Murder!

Are you using the ECBOT or are your orders going to the floor? Limit orders in the front months (and I assume you were buying SK7) on the ECBOT are pretty good, very little slippage in my experience... In the further back months it can be a bit spottier. SPreads are wider, but not by too much...

    SP:DOW Ratio.

When I first started trading, I remember someone told me about a price correlation between SP and Dow...something on the order of 1:10.. When the SP rises 1 pt, the Dow should rise roughly 10 and vice versa.....or something to that effect.. Anyone know anything about this or is it just...

How would you play todays events tomorrow morning?

Why do you think a one day decline will 'force' the market to cut rates (which is not really the way it works), when an 8 month rally didn't force the Fed to raise?

Hey Fully... The bean:corn price ratio is so far out of whack, that in our opinion, it all but assures that US farmers should have no incentive for planting any beans this year. Crop rotation aside, of course they will plant beans, and we'll see how many acres the USDA shores up in the March...

Straddle, Spread, Breakout - The Greenrush Capital Journal

We sold our 480 WN7 calls at 50'4. With the gap filled in WH7 at 494, and end of the month, lack of a February break, major report at the end of March, we anticipate a correction in all the grains over the next few weeks. Today looks like a potential gap and crap day in all the grains...

US mortgage crisis goes into meltdown

Max.. I put a bid on a similar house a few months ago - a house they were asking 1.5 for, but could sell...Apparently they rented it for between 5200-5800/month...something like that...

US mortgage crisis goes into meltdown

Agreed...no shortage of hot properties in this area... Nothing signifies a top more than 2 RE brokers in a shoving match at the top of Valley Vista trying to place their FOR SALE signs...I saw this a few months ago...

US mortgage crisis goes into meltdown

I believe they paid after the purchase, renovation, etc, about 1.3 mill, though I can't necessarily believe that....they originally listed it at 1.6, but when i went over last time it was at 1.4...and OH, the desperation! Maybe a bid at 900K to see what they say...

US mortgage crisis goes into meltdown

I walked by a beautiful home here in Sherman Oaks a few months ago and had a good conversation with the RE broker. He was a nice guy, honest and not pushy...I told him that the house was a little expensive and out of my league (They were asking 1.5 million)... I went by the house again a few...

"Personally I think there's a greater risk to higher inflation," Fisher told reporters after an address to the Pacific Council on International Policy. But he noted that "overall I think there might be a moderation in inflation pressures." A what what?? How does this make any sense..?

Straddle, Spread, Breakout - The Greenrush Capital Journal

Yeah FA, The hawkish comments from the RBA Governor, not to mention their rates being the highest of the 6 majors, seem to be the driving force behind the Aussie. My outright bearish view was decimated after 7845...a stop reverse may have been handy... I still like the way the spread chart...

Hey Fully... The basis for the trade is seasonal and technical. I think we will see a breakout to the upside in this consolidative triangle. I think the deferred hogs will have a big upside move this summer. Of course, I could be wrong. Below is a chart... As for the currencies, they...
