small comment to predictions of The Economist: in summer 2003 they predicted an almost immediate fall in housing prices all over Europe. As far as I know this did not happen. (correct me if I am wrong) In Spain (according to them one of the most risky countries), housing prices raised (again)...

What about a CTA that manages several accounts and has the same strategy for all of his customers, i.e. wants to buy the same security at the same price for all of his customers? If he has a very large account, he might be afraid that the order from this account might have a big market impact...

Well, it was just my opinion, I am using it and happy with it. I can't answer your question but I still think my answer is correct. I am sure there are many more tools around that do this but I know that WLD is capable. Just wanted to help... :confused:

Aaron, do you have a suggestion which broker to use when managing several accounts? In IB, you can open a FA-account, but accessing different accounts through one TWS is not very user-friendly to me. What are your experiences in this field? Cheers and thanks!

newestmember: Suggestion: backtest your strategies so at least you know the probability (based on past data) and therefore adapt your positionsize (risk) to it. Otherwise you will loose against all the systemtraders out there. The competition is too high nowadays. Cheers.

Can somebody please (maybe Aaron?) estimate how much the costs are to build up a business as a CTA? Not talking about computers, software, data, etc. but of registration fees, disclosure agreement docs, all the bookkeeping work. Thanks a lot!!! Cheers, jc
