Funny I mentioned the same thing to a few friends last week as it seems obvious that housing troubles will lead to money troubles which leads to marriage troubles which leads to more housing troubles(many houselholds need two incomes to make the mortgage).

I meant actually that CL is better intraday. The crude market is still an excellent intraday mkt. My personal favorite. It's just easier to slide in and out of positions in the full sized contract and you get a better bang for your commission buck.

It all comes down to style I suppose. Personally there is plenty of volatility on non-report days to keep me happy, don't need the added excitement of a report to generate good high probability/ good risk/reward trades.

I never place trades before the report either. If you liked the market, why not trade CL(full-sized physical contract).

The volume in QM has declined steadily since the Full-sized Physical contract (CL) has finally gone electronic. Qm is fine for positions but not as good for intraday IMO.

Agree with you. ES is not the best market unless you are trading a very large account and need to move size. Most smaller daytraders would do better in a more volatile market. IMHO

Can't speak for Manhattan as I know nothing about that market but around the country there is a glut of single family homes that are vacant and for sale by speculators. My guess is eventually many will pull them off the market and list to rent, which should saturate the rental market and prices...
