House of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

I don't want to say always but I've found many instance of choppiness/ranging around successive swing points/daily highs that are relatively "close" to each other. I've also observed this around new "all time" highs. Would that be showing a certain level of uncertainty or reluctancy? I really...

Have you used dbphoenix's teachings to become a successful trader?

Well without what DB writes most of reading thru Wyckoffs course would have flown right over my head. What's interesting to me or at least my interpretation is that the SLA/amt is a means to track the movement of price (SLA) at areas (amt) that will afford better opportunities. How one enters...

House of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Completely understand. What I am saying though is IF that hourly ret ends up triggering and continues you'd already be in from an intraday standpoint since the area of 32 was holding for the most part. Sure we traded lower but bounced back up off 28 (sorry not at a computer i think it was 28)...

House of If You Can Draw A Straight Line

Why not just keep playing 32? Of course this all looks like hindsight but essentially wasn't all of that sideways action just an hourly RET?Break 32/retesting.

    Trading NQ via Price Action

Funny I clicked on the jigsaw link and then the first link about order flow and whoever was speaking goes the first time you try to learn this you are going to be bad at it and basically says to just sit and watch with a smile on your face and DO NOT sim trade yet it will build too much...

    Observations (an example)

Oh I know how it looks to me I was still long thru both of your trades I was just asking for discussion purposes. It's 123s if we were to talk patterns. At least in my opinion. One was for the exit the other for the entry. "Swing high" broke at 04 for exit swing high broke at 08 for entry. At...

    Observations (an example)

Great trading and if I can quickly catch you before you go. You say it depends what traders do in order for you to have exited that short at 06. Just two traders well one trader and one wannabe talking shop, what was it for you that you need to see to pull that trade for profit or loss? Is it...

    Observations (an example)

I'm guessing long around 04? Just a note that this is just a discussion not so much of an omg what do you do so I can copy it.

    Observations (an example)

How far are you willing to let price come against you? I find that when low points like that break there is often a pullback thereafter which there was albeit not a very large one. Of course not always does price pullback after low and high points break but I do find it to be common.

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

watching the warriors thunder game and Jon Barry, NBA analyst, just said, "don't chase money, chase greatness, the money will follow". Found this fitting based on my previous post above.

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

I just wanted to note the SLA chart w entries is not what I did today. It's what I would have done right around this time last year when I opened the other journal. Nor is what I showed via the SLA indicative of what should have been done. It's just based on my past what I MAY have done prior to...

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

I used to find that "phenomena" almost amazing how that happens but now I'm starting to realize exactly why it's happening. It's not so amazing anymore and it's not a phenomena. It just makes sense.

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

Trading SLA last year this is probably what I would have done. Getting "lucky" on the first long probably keeps me positive for the day and gives a false sense of "confidence." Greens longs, red shorts, blue exits. Thinking about the fact that even stupidly the SLA keeps you positive in that...

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

Some psychological/fear stuff...The goals I had of obtaining a "better" price with cheaper risk really was nothing more than fear manifesting it's ugly head again. The ebb and flow of price really isn't so "tight" and the SLA itself is in away about going with the flow of price and is almost a...

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

A note. Poor proofreading is not an indication of my level of intelligence hahahahaha. Also my apologies for not speaking in terms of pace and activity of some of these moves. It's a lot to note in real time.

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

There is actually a minor tickq divergence right at 97.25 at the top where we held. Didn't notice that early. Not that I'd do anything with it but it's noted. Thanks for bringing that move up

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

A move like that used to freak me out. Now though after spending time with a "faster" interval next to the 1m the "size of the bar" isn't much of a concern because you can see on the faster interval the quick RETs and stutter steps more clearly. This move in particular though did not have much...

    OMG....Where are the price bars???

In hindsight it was silly not having 4100 more on my mind. In fact flipping over one page in my notebook these are levels I had written 4140, 4100, 4082, 4042/4040. These were written last night. Sometimes following the prep eludes me and I am not sure why. Yesterday also. Had 59 as a level...
