you mean ETFs on stock indexes?...but yea ETF options are tradable. when you start trading stock options that are not part of the penny pilot program then the spread starts to cut into your profits.
and y only make 1 trade per day if you are day-trading? is that like a hit or miss strategy...
y not just buy someone else's profitable system and trade for yourself, based on its results ofcourse - i think if i gave my system to someone they would be able to make money if they follow it. most of the traders do have a system that they follow. but i am not sure anyone would sell it...
i used to place orders when the market just kept going sideways. so i wrote myself a rule that i won't place any new orders if ADX is below 20. but ADX seems like a lagging indicator, so i use it with other indicators like MACD.
but read up and experiment with ADX, then see if it fits your...
What will happen to volatility if we get a .50 rate cut or even a .25? Last september's rate cut killed the volatility for weeks - i remember how boring and unprofitable it was trying to day-trade the Qs. so, now if we get a rate cut, I am thinking of switching to swing trading and buying QQQQ...

HONG KONG (Thomson Financial) - The Chinese government has asked banks to temporarily freeze lending until the end of this year to help cool its economy, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing bankers and a government official...
looking at FSLR - it rallied on no news w/ twice the average volume & politicians aren't supporting renewable energy. it could end up like BIDU, institutions pumping and dumping, while sucking in the retail traders.

FSLR under investigation + overvalued. anyone think it might drop below 200 monday?
i don't see why anyone would be swing trading this week, when there is a lot of uncertainty and fear. its either day trading or protecting your capital during extreme volatility.
