Why IB allow buy lmt order for price about last price?

Your English is poor but I think I understand what you are saying. Suppose a stock's bid Price is 60.00. You can have a Limit Short Sell order for 50.00 and it is NOT illegal. IB will automatically add 1 cent to the current bid and put your short sell in at 60.01. Putting 50 just means...

IB - Why do you treat my Credit Union like a joke?

Checks take a long time. If it's out of state, it's longer. If it's out of country, even longer. I don't think it has anything to do with your bank. Best way to get your money in is to wire.

    IB built in charting

I'm starting to grow fond of th IB Charting. I trade based on Price alone with no indicators and the charts look pretty nice. I actually stopped renewing my 1 year subscription of eSignal last month and just using IB charts now. There are two things that bother me about IB charting. 1. To...

Account Withdrawl Process at IB is Frustrating

You need to fill out some form in order to make online withrdrawls possible. Never had to do that to use the Funds Request on IB. Tell me that isn't frustrating... "...you must first submit an Online Transfer Authorization Agreement. Once that form has been approved by TradeStation...

TradeStation - A risk to your business

I just opened a TS account last month for my 30 day trial with some money to try out backtesting for my strategies. The market is closed. I just tried calling the 1-800 customer support and it told me they had 15 min wait time. I waited on the phone listening to classical music for 50 mins...

    TradeStation Handicaps Active Traders

I would disagree. According to your thinking, they could just not give customers any margin and since most traders lose money, they would be doing most of the traders a favor. I would think it's the customer own responsibility if they decide to play with standard 4:1 daytrading margins.

    IB developers: are you idiots?

I would never upgrade unless it forces to me upgrade. Never use the latest version unless you like being a beta tester. Learned that lesson once. It's your own fault for upgrading.

    IB Accrued Interest

    http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/fees/interest.php?ib_entity=llc#interest USD LIBOR is 4.80 So you would get 4.3% on 90k. 4.3% * 90k = 3879 / 12 months = 322 month my guess.

    Wash Sales Rules

I don't think that's accurate. If you sold a stock at a loss and you bought back within 30 days, it is a wash sale. It does not depend if you had a profit at end of the year for all the transactions.

    Wash Sales Rules

Yes, that is correct unless you have elected Mark-to-Market last year.

Taxes preperation if you are Prop

I'm not a tax specialist but I'm 99.9% sure this is the answer. No, you do NOT have to file a Schedule D on top of the K-1. All your trades from the prop firm are all included in the K-1 you got. Unless you traded stocks with another broker outside of the prop firm, it is not necessary...
