    Power Outage

It's obvious to me: it must have been caused by Romulan disrupter fire. No other reasonable conclusion.

Mental Ceilings and self fulfilling prophesies

I tend to think not.... its probably closer to 100%. Here is what I believe, I don't expect anyone to accept this: You literally and physically create your individual reality. This is done (or shall I say limited) by the filters in your brain known as beliefs. I no longer care about facts...

Is CNBC on the Federal Payroll?

I've tried to resist making a real comment here, but I just can't. Do any of you REALLY think CNBC is manipulating the market, or is that just your excuse for a bad trade. Even a rudimentary analysis of the market indicates a medium term lateral trend, a shorter term up trend, and a pullback...

    The Stochastic Indicator

I just read over the complete "mental ceilings" thread and the "prospcet theory" thread. Cool stuff. It seems like the matrix Jack referrs to is similar to (if not in fact the same thing as) the wall poster he said to create where you lay out the flaws in chronology of occurence and do this...

Jack, here is a fixed test1.xls.

    The Stochastic Indicator

Jack, somehow you (accidentally?) merged part of column D and E. Select the beige cells (the ones that are the problem), select format, alignment tab, and deslect merge. Edit: you may have trouble selecting cells with mouse because of hyper links. So select adjacent cell with mouse, then...

It's a friday afternoon in the summer. Bids and asks scattered all over. Very light trading.

    Hit by IB (and SEC)

Would you care to specifically state what happened. Nothing in your post is concrete. Also, did you knowingly break any rules and is your account balance currently over $25k USD?

    The Stochastic Indicator

I can't wait. In spite of my recent whining, forcing myself to take rocket trades at a beginner level is making me see the market in ways I never have before. Oh boy, did I fight it. It's also forcing me to just trust, something I desparately need to learn.

    The Stochastic Indicator

Brutal is an understatement. Over the past few weeks I"ve taken 14 rockets, best gain is 1/2 point, worst loss 3 points, which was this latest rocket, which I held onto a bit more than I should have. Figured I've just been bailing too soon, apparanetly not. I'd swear to god every rocket I...

    The Stochastic Indicator

I hate to be bleak, but to be honest, I've never made more than 1 point on any rocket. I keep trying, but the harder I try, the worser I get. The problem comes in when you wash out early on the good trades. I wash out early based on my best understanding of the nuances that Jack has...

eSignal - Doesn't anyone use it for NYSE?

Ahhhh. I didn't fully understand before. And thanks for the explanation. I can see how beneficial that would be.

eSignal - Doesn't anyone use it for NYSE?

Not sure what you're referring to. I run esignal accross 3 monitors, have open a quote window, several intraday advanced charts, a daily and a weekly. No problem with linking any symbols and showing correct data, NYSE or otherwise.

    Problems with Esignal

While I totally agree that you shouldn't be on a "treasure hunt", the problem is it can happen with anyone. My experience in many ways was exactly like yours, only it was with Realtick. The moral is: we're not dealing with an exact science and a vendor simply isn't going to spend endless hours...

    esignal's backtesting capability

I've been with esignal for about 6 months, and tried TS for a month. I really think esignal is better in every way except it's EFS programming language. I'm not a programmer, yet with easy language and their great online manual, I was able to put together a few studies in minutes. Esignals...

    The Stochastic Indicator

To all who are interested in Baggerlords intentions. First he complains, then he praises, then he bashes. I normally wouldn't do this, but, well read below. This is his relpy to my PM which is directly below... baggerlord Senior Member Registered: May 2003 Posts: 190 Re: hi...

    The Stochastic Indicator

To Baggerlord, Electron, and the others that have their doubts or keep asking for explanations: please consider the following. Do you really expect someone to come in with a quick post or 2 to explain over 200 pages of very dense posting? I personally started with this post just over a month...

    Article on E-minis

First off, my belief is, that understanding what can happen won't change what you do. You need to stick with your plan, and then if something goes haywire, follow the plan and most importantly don't beat yourself up over it. I realize what I'm about to explain is obvious to most ET'ers, I'm...

    Article on E-minis

Lewis Borsellino spoke last week at the Chicago trade expo. He was most vociferous in his opinion that there should be no arbing at all. He shared several "stories" on how you can really f*** with everyone by hiding orders between open outcry and electronic. A real eye opener for me.
