I'm still thinking about Wave's big downturn/crash. If that happens, Mid 70's seems worth watching. Guess your 'big hump' would be the next to watch. Edit: EMG has canceled his order! We may never get to the mid 70's!

    Special Ed

It's a bell curve.... both ends deserve the best. I have relatives in the genius category, and one in the special ed... oxygen deprived at birth. What can you say? If I had to spend more, it would be on the brilliant end, with the hope they would help solve the issues for the special ed...

It depends... Sometimes we want to be 'all in' but often one contract, or a third of my "all in" size is what I'm most OK with trading. I can't ans exactly how I'd be better or worse, other than my overall success rate (positive points) at the end of the day went up when I tested this...

I do something like that. One trade with one contract that I intend to let the target go to the next likely S/R. A second trade with two contracts and a 1 or 1 1/2 point target. If my trade is at a functional S/R, and I'm entering with a limit order, even if the market is going to go thru...

    Will science change human behavior?

What is going to happen to your ability to move up the corporate latter when all the top layers are well into their 100's and still going strong? I have relatives in the medical end of that business, and they say it is not fiction, it's now, and those who can afford it are changing their views...

Like an abused person, we start to believe this is normal

I think they have a clear objective. But when you are going up against the... equivient of the feudal lords, and you are just serfs... of course they are being elusive to avoid being squashed out of hand. It's kind of like the Magna Carta time. Only this time it's the international...

What is the best way to consume Turmeric?

It's mixed... some good suppliments, some shams those who are trying to squeese out the suppliment businesses from exisitng are the the big pharmacy corporations. Of couse, they are above reproach in having our well being in mind, and not corporate profits.

What is the best way to consume Turmeric?

My friends from India say you have to heat it to release it's benefits, but just a little. They add it right at the end of a dish they are cooking. The average Indian eats over a tablespoon a day of tumeric. They have 1/10 the rate of some cancers as Americans. Might be part of the reason?

jasinhbca's quest for discipline, knowledge & profits

Comments about with-trend versus countertrend trading, being selective... etc. etc. I have all those issues, up and downs too. One thing I saw right away was how poorly I was doing countertrend trading. The next thing that stood out to me was that... on reveiwing the day... I was taking...

Hey Jas Thanks for your posts. The issues you have been dealing with have helped me understand some of my problems too. In the thought of 'crazy is doing the same things and expecting different results', two recent changes I've made.... I spent $100 on a spreadsheet program to track my...

I think I see what you and Ammo are saying... When you are new to the whole thing, which I am, perhaps trading small and live helps you figure out the psychology part. when you've worked your way past that, then papertrading is an obvious way to learn new things. One doesn't need to...

I took classes where they taught that unless you trade real money, you can actually slow your success. They did say to trade as small as possible while learning. It's that 80% of people can paper trade successfully, but 80% of those will lose when trading their own cash. The psychology...

Perhaps it is not trying to be right, it's the opposite... knowing that you might miss your entry by just a tick. So you have a range where you enter so as to catch the trade. This is not adding to losers, as you have a firm stop where you close out the whole trade.
