i dont think they are on glie to follow teh market, most times the fed just does wwhat the market prices, or "wants" and the fed just acts as a rubber stamp... i think the fed would always be better to allow the free market to decide... imo... they cut 1/4 and leave the door open for more cuts

guess your missing the point we are trying to make... you will be hard pressed to follow institutional activity on level 2, you follow it better on the T&S: where are the trades going off bid or ask or and follow the size... a lot depends on what and how you are trading i.e. if you are trading...

MM methodology actually isnt a bad one for investors or maybe swing traders with a few tweaks... but what he fails to realize is the differences between trading and investing... i guess soemone figured his annual gain with time value to be 8%, a very respectable gain for an investor, but traders...

IMO, dont waste your time trying to "read" or "analyze", etc.. level 2 quotes, esp not in the manner any book esp books from the 90's teach you... however reading the tape by watching t&s and level 1 is worthwhile, however this is easier to do in nyse stocks... nasdaq is too chaotic, tougher...

my "opinion" would be a feel good rally, maybe even lasting a up to a couple days, but it would be short lived and quickly correct.... you would think any threat saddam had to markets were already discounted in to the current rally.
