    Dow 5000 Nasdaq 800

since this is turning into a "bottom" discussion: i think we need to see screaming bear market bargains too like P/E in the singles and teens, and div. yields of 6% or more, reflecting how much percieved risk there is because people are that scared or are just disinterested in owning stocks...

    IB and PDT rule

if i remember correctly, IB never lets you open a new position if your account equity is under 25k, thereby they never allow you the oppurtunity of making that 4th day trade and violating. another broker i had would still let you open positions after 3 but basiacally then you had to police...

    Giving advice to others

its easy to dimiss people asking advice and simply say no or have a policy that you do not give out advice, as many here have suggested. but keep in mind, especially when it comes to your FAMILY, they prob. know nothing or at least less than you or maybe they got burned by a lousy broker and...

    Bright Trading

Yannis, it appears to me that your question was asked for one of two reasons. 1) you are just smugly telling us all you are succesful on your own with profitable strategies, capital, and software/platforms that work for you; and thats great more power to you, a lot of traders on here are...

Are all prop firms money sucking, greedy, evil, capitalist pigs?

    To all NYSE Traders

if i am not mistaken, if it was the specialist protecting his turf, even though he only posted 100s on the better bid, this wouldnt preclude him from buying more than 100s, i.e. someone comes in with 4600s sell in this example, he could take out the whole offer, .02 better. chasinfla, i have...

Are all prop firms money sucking, greedy, evil, capitalist pigs?

i chose the title of capitalist greedy pig just to grab attention...i was being a bit facestious, i personally am a capitalist and find nothing inherently wrong with being so, bit it would appear to me some members who post on this board eiher do not like capitilism because they feel prop. firms...
