sounds like your learning, pretty fast too if your just learning. one key is to identify what type of table your at, loose, tight, passsive, aggressive, etc... and adjust your play accordingly. i.e most low limits are loose. in tourney play it gets a lot different to and changes as the blinds...

they do it every sat. easy; yes even better than 1010220 LMAO. sometimes you need more than some good cards to advance in the later rounds, it takes some moves. fun nonetheless though.

hey fellas, thought i would pass this on to you guys, esp. for the newly inspired poker players. every saturday at 3 p.m. et if you are sitting around bored, pokerroom.com has a holdem tournament for only 1$ buy in, and they kick in $2500. its a cool and cheap way to practice tournament style...

don if you get some time could you discuss your envelopes, how you choose them, and your experience with number of winners and fills comparing small envelope days with bigger envelope days. i know a lot of succesful traders dont vary and prefer this style, but on these flat days i.e. today...

def agree with this too, even though in cards its prob and stats you have just a good chance to draw a winning hand each deal. but there are ebb and flows so liek in trading when its not going well lower your size and take less trades, in poker play less hands maybe goto smaller stakes, and DONT...

the number of decks will have an impact on your edge, but you cant still be effective even on a 6 deck. there are more important factors then number of decks and this is where many newbies go wrong. deck penetration and rules can have more impact than number of decks. i.e id rather play a 6 deck...

i totally agree with your point on the entry analogy. however 21 is analagous as well in that you must stay disciplined i.e. hitting that 2 vs a 2 or a 6 vs. 10 even though you emotinally dont want to b/c of the bust potential maybe like holding onto a position through a shakeout that looksk...

the same can be said for blackjack too. Don, i was wondering your opinion of which game is more similar to trading, poker or 21. assuming all other things being equal what game has th ebest edge, 21, poker, or even throw trading into the mix.

DISAGREE, execution speed of equipment is only part of equation, i.e if you have a trader w/ slowest reaction on fastest execution tech, he would still suck. what you are inferring is he who has the best trading platform wins. not true.
