    "Buyback Ratio" or Indicator?

Dude, where've you been for the last 8 years? Next to Fed stimulates, share buybacks are the backbone of the bull market. What do you need an indicator for? Goldman already announced that they will not be buying back this quarter... that should be the only indication you need. The party is over.

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

I'm confused. Are you using something other than charts and squiggly lines to reach the conclusion that the market is going to keep moving up? Literally every dominant market entity has declared a vested interest in the deflation of asset values... so what we *should* see is the controlled...

Cboe blasts 'draconian' plan to test banning stock exchange rebates

I wish that I could help you further, but I'm not familiar with how orders are designated or executed on IB's software. Perhaps someone else who uses tws can chime in here. I use a completely different front end (das trader) that is reminiscent of a platform that I was accustomed to, and all of...

Cboe blasts 'draconian' plan to test banning stock exchange rebates

Okay I see the problem you're having (with stocks, sorry I don't know anything about options). I think that I mentioned this before to someone on the forum that was having a similar problem - the whole point of tiered is that you route your own orders. Smartrouting is like routing for dummies...

Cboe blasts 'draconian' plan to test banning stock exchange rebates

That doesn't sound right... One sec, let me track down the IB commissions and rebates list.

Cboe blasts 'draconian' plan to test banning stock exchange rebates

Oh I see what you're saying. Well, brokers have to make money somehow and they do that through commissions. With IB, I pay around $3.00/1000 shares on tiered for adding liquidity so I'm not complaining. I've got a big binder at home from an old job that shows how much the rebates are coming...

Cboe blasts 'draconian' plan to test banning stock exchange rebates

Not really following your line of thinking. How are brokers cutting off retail investors from getting rebates?

Cboe blasts 'draconian' plan to test banning stock exchange rebates

I read this yesterday, such bs. Taking money out of investors pockets? Yeah right. More like taking the candy away from the biggest customer, high frequency traders.

Do you believe that you deserve to win?

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

I haven't seen anyone on the tape today except hft's, trying to bore everyone to death with their stupidity. By nature of the way they operate, markets wherein they are heavily participating tend to grind slowly up. Unless a big seller comes around and triggers everyone's volatility shutdowns...

The fed actually net accumulated assets between Feb 2-5. They were not responsible for the sell-off. It wouldn't take a dramatic crash to take us to the feb lows. One solid day of selling off would get us there pretty quickly without attracting any undue attention.

    Averaging IN (not Averaging Down)

That's poppycock. One should be at their smallest when entering into a position to mitigate initial risk, and build the position as it either: 1) goes their way 2) goes 'against' them to a predefined limit Only someone who presumes to know with certainty what is going to happen next would put...

For future reference, 1 point = 4 ticks... just so you can sound more informed when you're trying to tell people who actually trade for a living what the score is ;)

Be that as it may, your insinuation that slow grinding up markets are where the money is, is not our current reality. I feel like a broken record giving the same ominous warning over and over but I'm slowly realizing a lot of people would rather tell the market what to do than listen to what...

Fixed that for you. I’ve never seen a group of people more excited to be led to the slaughter than I do on here when the market rallies. The bull market ended 2 months ago; inherent in every rally is the danger of an insatiable seller poised at the top of the every hill. You can fade him, but...

We’ve literally sold off from the 2650 level like 7 times in the last 2 weeks by an aggressive seller who’s proven that he’s got the juice to do what he wants, when he wants, and you guys are still seeing dollar signs with every rally. Buyer beware.

10,000 hours to learn trading - Who wrote this rule?

I think I might understand a bit more than the average person about how things work in this industry. But as you inferred, a prop firm (provided that they are backing you with capital) makes money by taking a percentage of a traders profit. Newbs do not generate profit.
