"This is without precedent in U.S. history"

If you adjust inflation, do not forget in 1970s people didn't not have to buy all the nice stuff we are buying now? In 1970s, can they buy 32" flat screen LCD TV? in 1970s, can they buy 100MHz desktop?, let alone laptop? In 1970s, do they have hybrid cars? Just do not forget that we...

    Why most traders are losers

Those trades are boring. Even if you had sold those position as you wished, how much could you make? Those would be ordinary gains that day traders make everyday. It is not the same type of home run trades you reported in your first post. What was you last home run trade? I mean 10X bagger?

    Why most traders are losers

I believe what you wrote and congratulations to the success. I would guess it is getting much harder for you to repeat your success as options are much more expensive than few years back. OTM calls are very expensive now. You have been very patient on your trading, and my gut feeling is...

I am puzzled for quite long

Bought DRYS June 6 calls at today's closing. Bid/ask was 0.60/0.65. I bought at 0.65. but the closing price was 0.63. How can people buy at 0.63? I thought it had to be 0.05 incremental. Can anyone explain this to me? Also bought BAC, that's much better. It has penny incremental...

    broker suggestions

Yes, that's the key. If you have 10K shares of a stock, 1 penny slippage cost you $100. That's far more than commission. If you trade with 100k shares, forget about finding the cheapest commissions. Just find the most reliable broker at any cost. 1 penny slippage cost you $1000.

Risk, I think you are right, but that does not mean you can not negotiate the commission if you trade actively. I have much reduced fee for my non Izone account. $7/trade is not too bad. Again, I'd be happy with $10/trade with them. I like them. freewilly

Hi, Risk, Forget about IB, the fee is way too high. I closed my account with IB. Yes, the fill lately on Ameritrade is going down. It seems the server can't handle the load. For your account size, the fill should not have much problem, although TD does have some hiccups lately. I am...
