You are absolutely right agtrader777. Seasonality seem to work better on spreads. Because you are trading 2 contracts (long and short) at the same time you do not get so many "artificial" moves in the spreads. In an outright futures position you get kicked out very often just because the guys...

It depend of course on your broker the way you have to give your order. I am personaly using Refco Express most of the time or I email my broker. Very seldom I have to call him. Regards Andy

right Bastiat8 ! I want to see a ratio of at least 3:1 most of the time and I like to trade in more then only one lot. Best for me is to have 3 lots. One as soon as I get some profits. Second for my final target and the last one for trailing a stop. Andy

You are right with your calculation of the risk. But the risk and the stop are actually two different things. Sometimes I am placing the stop very close to my entry but I have to calculate more risk. Keep in mind stops are not possible for spreads this is why you can not calculate it precise...

Hi Fred, I think there is no general question to this answer. Sometimes the market shoots up...you take some money...and the next days it moves even higher. Sometimes it shoots up and you wait...and the next day it is down. I personally take my profits with some lots pretty early...
