Joe T was supposed to be on the Kudlow radio show this morning... looks like he got bumped for Newt Gingrich... : (

You're right. I fully expected to see the TBT move higher today, but no such luck. Very odd.

F holding up, and it looks like it could be a failed A down for the S&P. Also looks like NFLX wants to make the A up today

If I remember he liked it more on a fundamental basis. As China diversifies it's oil sources, and the Brazilian gov't skims off the top, PBR the company stands to lose despite the vacuum that could be created by a lack of Iranian oil. At least this is what I thought he was thinking. The...

F daily A up, and working on the weekly now. It sounds nuts, but if it confirms the weekly I'm looking at about 12 as short-term target.

From a sector watch standpoint the XLP is strongest at 0, (haha) but the XLV still holding in there at -2. Look at MRK, nice. XLB also working at -1. Nothing great here, but at least you get a sense for the relative strength of the sectors. I like the turn around in the XLB which has...

Thanks for keeping me on track. I really appreciate it. I think I was trying to build a rube goldberg, and thought maybe mentioning it in the forum would be a good idea.

Interesting you mentioned the Vix here. I've been thinking that the number of time periods that I'm using in my ATR could/should be dependent on the Vix. So for instance, maybe when the Vix is high, I should use 25% of the 5 period ATR, so I'm reflecting the recent noise. When the Vix is low...

Tagged my stop though, so it's in the penalty box for a little now. I'll probably return if it passes the "show me" test.

I know it sounds crazy, but I'm going to start keeping an eye on Ford again. Really nice opportunity to buy last week on the failed weekly A down, now, it's outperforming the S&P. I have 11.85 on the monthly A up.

Dumped the BMY. Stopped working round about 2 weeks ago after the big gap off the failed Dec Monthly A down on the 19-20th. While the rest of the market confirmed a weekly and rallied BMY languished, (bad fundamental news about a drug experiment). I didn't get hurt because I had the number...

Interesting. It is kinda relative, but I also had a failed a up that ran to the a down. Failed there too, (you could get long - I'm not, but you could give it another shot). I think all the things I look at seem to work well for ACD that I've noticed anyway. just gotta use those STOPS

That was amazing! Why didn't they use the "take-down" graphic? Fish just ripped BK a new one, (indirectly and classily of course).

I know! Long oil reserves, short PBR eh? Sounds like a pretty decent trade if Brazil is skimming off the top in PBR, and China is diversifying where they shop

Dr. J just tweeted that Fisher is going to be on the half time report. Maybe an update on the 2012 trade he outlined last time?
